bed could have been a bit more comfortable and the sink area was a little cramped. Also would have liked a lobby or some place to just relax other than the room that is inside instead of an outside patio with no view.

Because our room was next to the patio, you can hear everything coming from the alley even though the windows were closed. People talking late in the night and the trash trucks early in the morning. There was some dust on top of the headboard and in the bathroom that caused my allergies to act up.

The location was perfect, right in front of the water. The room was comfortable and I love the design of the bathroom. I also love that our room was next to the patio where we spent some time in.

The beds are advertised as queen size when they are actually full size. I think the cost of the room relative to the room amenities is too high.

There are windows down the hallway that look into a little open space and into the other guest room windows that face each other across the space. Nothing in between for privacy but the curtains.

Review for Suite One only. The view is unbelievable, the little porch with the glass doors is wonderful, the original tiled bathroom absolutely charming, and the King bed very comfy. It was so adorable and I'm glad I got to stay before it is "modernized."

The family next door had a baby/toddler who was very vocal. I appreciated their efforts to keep their child away from the balcony and commom wall.

I loved the location and staff..the ocean front view is a must!baby or toddler who was renting to famili I also really liked the enclosed patio with a fridge, sink, cute table/chairs, and beautiful view! Coffee maker was great to have too!

The toilet seemed to operate with a less pressure than desired. Also, it's an East-facing room, so sunrises are a sight to behold, whether you like it or not. There are curtains that will shade the bed area, but there still is a 'doorway' to the balcony that is uncovered and the light will still get through.

When I initially booked the room for the weekend of the Catalina Marathon, I was just trying to find a convenient room that could act as a decent meeting spot for family that was running in the event. Much to my surprise, I checked in and was treated to Suite 1 which was far more than I was expecting. The view from the balcony was amazing, and the little kitchenette ended up being perfect for the couple days I was on Avalon.

The location is the best right on the main street. Rooms are nice size and up to date. Staff is wonderful! We have stayed on Catalina many times and this place is one of the best.

Room was clean, location was amazing! cool little entrance in between some shops on the boardwalk, which made it like a little hole in the wall but very nice, hole in the wall hotel experience. I would stay here again for sure!

The fact that I had to leave! Our room was towards the front (which we loved), but it can get a little loud at night.

Check in was done in 90 seconds. Clean rooms. Only thing it didn't have was a microwave, but we didn't need one so that was fine. Location was right in the middle of the main area. Everything was in walking distance, even the grocery store. Coffee place was a 1 minute walk in the morning.

One of our rooms seems to have been recently remodeled and it smelled heavily of new wood off-gassing, which was a bothersome smell we could not get rid of and it was not pleasant to breathe it all night. It seems to be confined to just one room though. Some of the bars in the areas can play music quite loud which can be heard/felt in the rooms, but it didn't go on very late and our toddler wasn't kept awake by it.

Great location by the water, very friendly and pleasant staff. Clean and modern bathrooms with nice amenities, comfortable bed. Overall very nice place to stay.
