To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

United States of AmericaI wish there was an ice machine in the lobby/dining area. It'd make getting an ice bucket easier than making sure to ask the staff for a bucket. I was able to grab one that the staff would leave out but there was a limited quantity and I feel like an ice machine could make that more readily available.
Breakfast each morning was delicious. The cooks and staff were great. The location was good - close to downtown Napa. I able to walk to the Riverfront and all the shops in that area.

The staff was awesome - helpful and kind. The breakfast was the best I have ever had at an Inn. it began with juice and fruit, then, we were given several options. I had the eggs, bacon, toast and potatoes - delicious!! The inn was beautiful and clean!

United States of AmericaA bit more variability in the breakfast entrees would have been nice. The staff was very kind and attentive while onsite but communication was a bit slow leading up to our trip.
The breakfast was very good. Fresh fruit, yogurt, homemade granola to start. Follow by a choice of entree with breakfast potatoes and a salad. Very filling and set a great base for a day of wine tasting. The entree options were a bit redundant after a couple of days but the food was magnificent.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was beautifully presented and creative. I enjoy the idea of a side salad and offering dressing on the side would be a very nice option as it was sweet. Location was great for walking to downtown Napa.

United States of AmericaOur first Bed & Breakfast, and I couldn’t recommend it more! The Inn on First was a 10 out of 10. First, our location was perfect -just a few short minutes and you were in the heart of town. Next, the room was just so cozy and had so many amenities- great value! We had a fireplace and Jacuzzi tub all to ourselves. Lastly, the hosts were fantastic! Breakfast was always delicious and prepped your stomach for a long day of drinking wine. They even gave you a little bottle of wine to welcome you to your stay, and there’s a big outdoor patio for you to enjoy your drinks outside or by the outdoor fire pit. We cannot wait to come back! Thank you for a great stay!
