Good location, relatively clean, noisy and not very informational

First of all, the bathtub in the room is pretty winded down, the top coat is flaking badly we had to put a towel in the tab to shower without hurting ourselves. Second, the night noise is inevitable, I understand downtown can be like that but didn't expect the windows not to be very soundproof. However, it was bearable for me so it didn't hurt. But I am disappointed that my room is just facing a building, I saw all the reviews and photos on booking claiming it's an LA mountain street view and we didn't get any. Lastly, we were told breakfast starts at 7:00 AM when checking in, so we planned to eat in before our noon flight, which would've been a great plan but only to discover brunch starts at 11:00 when we went to the restaurant (even though the sign on the window says breakfast at 10:00, which we arrived at 9:30, we were told by the staff it starts at 11:00). Other than these the stay was pretty pleasant.

The location is great, close to Ktown, which means good food and entertainment. The room is relatively spacious and clean, I love the decoration and how the beds are oriented.

No coffee machine in the room. Yes there is a cafe that opens at 6.30 am but it is not the same. The facilities are fine but could use a bit of a refresher The music in the lobby is pretty loud but then it may be geared for younger people. So it may be looked at a plus by other.

The view. The shower is nice and strong. A pleasure. The bed is super comfortable. It is near to the subway station (yes there is a subway in Los Angeles . It is clean and it works) 4 stops to the Broad and the cultural center. The proximity of good Korean food is nice as well

I didn’t like the price of the hotel for a one night stay, the $75 early check in fee (especially since there were rooms available), and the cheap shower curtain that was far too easy to get wet which made a mess on the bathroom floor.

I like the location of the hotel, the friendliness of the staff, the checkout time, the unique warehouse aesthetic, and the size and comfort of the king bed.

It was okay, I would stay again!

    • Stayed 3 nights

Unexpected Fees: I was surprised by a $75 charge for early arrival, and by an additional $300 hold on my credit card. It would be helpful to have this information upfront. Maintenance Needed: The hallway carpet needs a thorough cleaning. Poor Bathroom Lighting: The bathroom lighting is extremely dim, making it difficult to get ready to hit the streets. I did most of my shaving near the window. This feels out of place with the hotel's modern, industrial aesthetic. MISC: A few things were broken: my lamp was broken, the table wasn't sparkling clean and the carpet was just okay. No dedicated frig or microwave in the room. I hope this honest review helped.

Great location Lively atmosphere: While it might get a bit loud, I enjoyed the nightclub vibe in the lounge area. Friendly staff

A little bit overated, noisy in the bedrooms, the beds are small and not very confy and we were disappointed by the view. We paid for a bedroom with the view on the hills but were given a 6th floor room which gives you mostly an overview of the buildings opposite.

The greenhouse where breakfast is served and the pool are very nice and charming.

Lobby area can be crowded and noisy. It doesn't affect the overall experience though.

View over the mountains was breathtaking and it's just incredible waking up (and fall asleep) contemplating LA. Hotel is hip and modern and staff is super friendly. Amenities were also good. Would definitely stay again.

Overall, good stay with some hiccups, but great location!

Very expensive for what it is - additional fees at every turn (including on the base price of the room). You pay for the look and feel of the hotel, more than the quality of the services. Breakfast is not included. Given I was not familiar with this practice (adding almost 30% of extra fees to the room), I asked for a cost breakdown, which the staff at the entrance refused to give me ("you will get the full breakdown with your receipt at the end of your stay"). I personally believe that if a customer is asking for the cost breakdown, it's not that hard to explain your pricing model so that they can better understand, even if not all costs have been added from the minibar and such. Water pressure in the shower was suboptimal, and it sometimes took up to 10 minutes (!!) to get warm water (barely warm, not hot).

The hotel is well designed, the rooms are decently sized and the beds, comfortable. The design of the room was great and the presence of a blackout curtain helps sleep in the morning. Very practical location for guests without a car - subway is steps away, and reaching some of the key places in LA was made easy.

    1. Cold in winter and exposed to lots of noise from the streets due to the loose single window 2. No black-out curtains, there's only a loose blind, which is not enough to block the sunlight in the morning and lights at night 3. No basic equipment or tableware is provided, e.g., coffeepot, glasses, teaspoons, etc.

Very good location as the center of Korea Town. It's just in front of the metro station and serving as the meeting point of Korean guided tours. There's a Seven Eleven store right across the street, which is very convenient.

The bedroom had two double beds (!), so felt a little cramped.

Great location, and fabulous atmosphere! Loved the vibe of the whole place, the right mix of comfort and hipness. The lounge area on the ground floor is a great place for hanging out. Great view from the room, and a lot of practical details.

Weird blue ‘coffee table’ (?) which was non-functional and took up unnecessary space, esp since there was a nice white marble one. Several unexpected extra charges on room service: $15 glass of wine ended up being $32! Crazy. Shower fixings were loose.

Cool decor and room design; great coffee shop in a spacious lobby with lots of seating; great WiFi.

I wish the rooms had a microwave, and better pricing for parking, but a lot of hotels charge the $40 plus and do not offer microwaves so it may just be the standard for hotels nowadays.

I loved the interior decor, the view and amenities. There are two night clubs, a restaurant and coffee shop. Makes it a convenient place to stay. You don’t have to go far to have a great time.
