We enjoyed our stay. It has big room and bathroom, fridge, microwave and nice little area outside with a fire place. Groceries, shops and beach in walkable distance.

The hotel adds a $100 security deposit, but does not request it—along with a photo ID—until the day of check-in, which is when I was on the road and without a secure internet connection. I would much rather take care of this bother a few days before my arrival.

The staff, when they were in the office, were very friendly and helpful.

Everything was perfect until I turned down the bedding and in plain sight on the bottom sheet, near the pillow, were 2 thick, long, black hairs.

Our stay at this cute, well-maintained motel was good. The email confirmation mentioned we were to call the motel if getting in late, so I called and spoke to Kate (?), who was lovely. She had the room lights on for us and a key under the doormat, since the desk was closed.

Everything was automated, including check-in so we literally saw no one else while there. That just felt awkward.

Everything was ok but for example, the bathroom door was warped and didn’t close…not a problem for me and my wife but not great. Rustic old time key-in-knob door, therefore not very secure.

Location good. Staff friendly . Quaint motel seemingly little changed since the 1950s. Comfortable bed.

The bathroom was a bit outdated and looked to be recently remodeled. It reminded me of my grandparent's place as a kid. The shower could have been tidier, but we loved the makeup nook that they had. The towels appeared to be clean, but since they were colored, you could see they had bleach stains. Maybe white sets would be better than dark-colored sets?

The room had hardwood floors which were nice and clean. The bed was soft and a bit worn, but we still slept well. The AC kept us cool during our entire stay. Kate and crew were helpful with any tips we needed for "things to do". We even were able to enjoy the outdoor relaxing chair spot. Evenings were quiet and the place was tidy and comfy for the few days we were there.

Charming, quaint 1930s motel, semi renovated, wonderful staff, great location. We’d stay again. You need reasonable expectations - it’s cheap for San Clemente. They’ve made it cute with extras like a tiny picnic area and dog area, nice linens, table/stools in room. But it’s old and not soundproofed. The main negative is it’s on a busy street and noise is significant. The positives are: super kind staff, 5 mins from T-Street beach, awesome bagel/coffee cafe next door.

What a lovely place to stay. The location is within walking distance from restaurants and the beach. It was clean, comfortable and I loved having a hot bath. The staff were exceptional and extremely helpful.

The room and decor was definitely older, but clean. The staff and management were incredible! Wonderful service and the location could not have suited our needs better. We were in town for a wedding and with its central location, everything was handy and nearby!!! The staff and willingness to provide great service was the highlight. Jenny was great at check in and beyond. Unfortunately, I did not get the name of the other person who was so very helpful. Thinking the manager or owner.

Thr shower is too slow and it got clogged twice. We saw a milk bottle with milk that's already solidified behind the chair by the window.
