Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Staff wasn't very friendly, not available even during the day, the only hotel I've ever seen provided just two pillows for two guests, asked for extra, didn't get it.

I'm not sure if that's the scent or if somebody was smoking weed in the elevator, but the smell in the cage was choking during my stay.
The room was really clean and the staff was quite nice. All facilities worked well and definitely give more than what the price suggests. Even though it was fairly close to the airport we weren't bothered at all by the noise.

NO coffeemaker in the room, a travesty! Also the lower quality of the towels were more on par with cheap motels. They were small and very thin but I suppose in the end they got the job done.
Low cost, clean, updated, had kitchen facilities like sink, stove, fridge. Comfortable bed.

Couldn't adjust the heat. It was a bit warmer than I like. I didn't call down to the desk so it may be on me. No hairdryer.
The room was pretty clean. Handicap accessibility was great. Nice for an extended stay although I had dinner out with a friend.

I did not get the information within the reservation that there is no counter service for the check-in opened after 5:PM... you have to give a call to someone that has to come downstairs and do the paperwork for your check in... we arrived at 7:00 PM - which was no big deal but I cannot imagine having to call someone in the middle of the night. Perhaps the hotel should be more clear about that or let available a QR code and a key box for a late check-in.
The hotel is spotless - beds are extremely comfy and the size of the room is quite big - 2 queen beds, pillows, blankets, sheets with high quality.

I was on a voucher from American Airlines,for poor gate management at Washington Reagan. The voucher DID NOT COVER FOOD...
Happy hour and restaurant meal. Comfortable bed, nice chair in room.

You're parking at your own risk. There's no piece of mind because after office hours there is no staff there. Staff doesn't explain the parking risk factors and that you are responsible if something happens to your vehicle on their property and that you are parking at your own risk. There are cameras, but that's not good enough, in my opinion, because there's still people lingering around the parking lot at night. I doubt we will come back to this hotel. It's nice and all but there's no staff and no breakfast in the morning.

When we got there, nobody was around for check in. I used the phone to call them, but it took 10 minutes for someone to get to us. Once he arrived he didn't seem apologetic at all for making us wait so long, so that was frustrating.
I liked the proximity to the city, so that we could get to wherever we were going pretty quickly. I also liked that the room was clean and I felt like it was put together nicely for our stay. It was overall a good stay!

Staff knocked on our door 30 minutes prior to the posted 11am checkout to ask if we were staying an extra day. Odd and annoying Only 2 thin pillows on the bed. Bed was uncomfortable

The walls were pretty thin, there were people arguing in the hallway at around 5 am. They could have been drunk but it still woke my girlfriend and I up.
