Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaThe neighborhood surrounding is awful, drug deals and gang activity right outside the fence line, sirens all night. And the gate keycard to park your car is so fickle to use, sometimes taking 10-15 swipes to get in..
Location is very close to downtown, gated property, staff is very helpful. We were at the end of the hallway and it was very quiet in the hotel. There is a restaurant and bar that's very convenient if you don't want to drive everywhere, and breakfast was good.

United States of AmericaThe option to park in the gated area of the hotel was nice. We were in town for a hockey tournament so it made us feel better about anything that may have been left in the car overnight to air out.

CanadaWould have liked to have a designated space available to enjoy a cigar and alcoholic beverage outside during the beautiful evenings. The only outdoor space with tables was non-smoking which I understand since it looked like it was part of outdoor dinning area.
Love the beds and pillows. Just like home. Nice to not have to bring my personal pillow to ensure I have the comfort I like.

United States of AmericaThe neighbor's house had dogs. and barking the night and disturbing sleep some nights. Homeless people (sad) are around the corner, but they did not bother us and are a little bit scary. And, I did not like how holding my money in the bank that I already paid. ended up I paid an overdraft fee$30×2 because didn't know that my dinner of $9 cost an overdraft charged $30.as hotel was holding $217.00 This was outrage. $25 deposit held after. I'm not disagree with it.
Close to my destination and not busy around hotel

United States of AmericaThe woman with long curly brown hair that checked us in was miserable and by the sound of it, she did not want to be there. Her attitude made the check in experience unwelcoming. My fiancé confronted her after she made several rude comments under her breath and answered my questions about the hotel and area like I was an idiot. Ma’am, kindly just do your job and if you hate it that much, you should quit. Our booking price included breakfast vouchers and after seeing the menu online, we were really excited to try out 8th street bistro which is connected to the hotel, but when morning came, they said the restaurant was closed and we only got the continental breakfast. Definitely not worth the price we paid. I don’t recommend you walk around anywhere in downtown Yakima. We could hear sirens all night from our room on the 5th floor. I live in downtown Seattle and I have never heard so many sirens at night.
The room was clean and had a very comfy bed. There are vending machines on every floor which made getting water and snacks super easy. The room had HBO and a lot of channels to choose from. We’d never been to Yakima so we didn’t know what to expect with the area, but it was close to the freeway and a few blocks away from downtown which we found to be the best location after doing some exploring of the little city. At night the city gets loud so not being directly downtown was great.

United States of AmericaThe front staff was rude and short when we checked in. She questioned how we got in through the back doors, when the gate to the parking lot was wide open so we drove in and parked. She informed me that we were not supposed to be able to access that if we weren’t already guests. Our keys didn’t work initially and when I took them back downstairs she didn’t say one word - she just took them, rescanned them, and then handed them back. There was a dog barking for the entire night. I am not a light sleeper - it woke me up several times throughout the night. The traffic was quite loud as well.
The property was clean and easy to find.

United States of AmericaThere was a super loud party in the lobby that seemed overly loud. Lots of kids running around screaming and people yelling at the basketball game on TV. Was really annoying to go down to the lobby when they were there. The kids were also coming out of the pool without toweling off and leaving water all over the floor. Would've preferred the front desk staff to maybe ask them to keep it down a bit as the lobby area is for everyone, not just the people who were there for the party.
Location was good. I definitely liked that there was gated parking because there was a bit of a rougher neighborhood on one side of the hotel. Otherwise, it's central to lots of good shops and restaurants as well as the freeway. Nice view of the mountains in the distance, too!

United States of AmericaOur booking included breakfast, however, we were told at check-in that breakfast wasn’t included. Apparently, the guests were expected to ask for breakfast vouchers when they checked-in, instead of just being given those at the time of checking in. The breakfast itself was OK, but not great. The pool floor wasn’t super clean, and the pool room/facility was actually cold. The water in the pool was warm, but after getting out, the kids were extremely cold. When sitting in the pool room (without having swam) one needed a sweatshirt to stay warm! An OK experience overall, but NOT great.
The rooms were very clean and the beds were comfortable.
