The sofa bed in our villa could do with a new mattress as it wasnt very comfortable. The actual bed was great though.

The staff were great, no request was too small. The breakfast was amazing, and while the pools were small, the drinks by the pool were a great touch. The Monneaux restaurant was also wonderful.

The Suites are everything you want, comfortable, quiet & clean. Breakfast with its array of fresh fruits, breads & juices followed by an excellent omelette or poached eggs perfectly cooked is worth getting up for. The pool area is lovely, serving delicious lunches on the lawn. It is a restful setting with the wine train tootling past every half hour or so. The staff led by Bonetta are wonderful. Nothing is too much trouble. Monneaux Restaurant serves excellent food with tasty plates, leave room for pudding. Well worth a visit.

The room seemed a little drab

Loved the setting around the pool. The service from all staff, nothing was too much trouble. The lovely home Made lemonade and water around the pool plus waiter service for food and drink. What was not to like.

The service was exceptional, the facilities outstanding, the food was incredible- not just a stay but an experience. Dinner will be one of the best meals ever. The setting and views from the hotel are sublime.

Air conditioning unit in the bedroom was quite noisy. We had rooms in the building above the restaurant and it could be quite noisy early in the morning with lots of banging around from staff, even though breakfast isn't served here.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Franschoek Country House and Villas. The staff were all absolutely excellent, so friendly and helpful and a real plus point. The pool area was lovely and we enjoyed breakfast each morning which offered a great selection. We just had the basic rooms, which were very spacious, but as these rooms in particular are older, don't expect all mod-cons. They were perfectly pleasant though. We really appreciated the hotel shuttle service which was very efficient and made going out to dinner a breeze.

Room was not stocked with Amenities and the coffee machine did not work. Finer detail needs to be looked at for this price.

Beautiful setting, amazing food and catering. Lovely facilities. Really loved the drivers - they were super helpful and supportive whenever we needed them.

Such great service - very child friendly with little gifts for our baby and toddler. We loved the heated pool and the property is simply stunning. The restaurant is great and the shuttle bus was so handy!

The hotel is in an excellent location, minutes from the centre of Franschhoek and offers an excellent shuttle service to guests at no extra charge. The facilities at the hotel are exceptional, with beautiful gardens and two outdoor pools. The restaurant on site is an added bonus!
