The splash pool was only accessible to certain suites. Thought there would have been more of a variety for the breakfast and generally I found the restaurant menu to be limited.

The room was beautiful. Lovely, strong shower. George was very friendly. Room service was fast and pleasant. The dogs were rather sweet.

The lovely staff, the 2 beautiful and friendly staff, service in the restaurant and the couples massage. I had a special request for some extras, which they did fabulously. They went out of their way. It was really special.

The staff were friendly and welcoming. Location is conveniently situated close to the Waterfront. Our room was spacious, very comfortable and beautifully decorated. Breakfast was very good.

Shower pressure very low. Towels look old. Difficult to work at the desk due to minimal space for the chair provided.

The fact that they did not fix the aircon.

Room was spacious and comfortable. Th Aircon was not working they offered to move me to another room but that room was very small. So I just put up with the very cold big room.

The bureau in the room (3) looked a bit tacky and was well worn and scratched from what I presume to be luggage. Maybe a new surface covered with glass would be a better option. The curtain had also come loose on one side. Minor issues but distracts from the overall good image.

Check-in and out was quick and efficient. Receptionist very helpful especially with parking (which could be a problem during busier periods). Very friendly service from front desk as well as by the breakfast waitron. Breakfast was very good! Full DSTV package a bonus.

No bathrobes in the room, as advertised. Also no extra blanket. Room service was brought to the room without a cloche, which is not ideal during a Global Pandemic! Also no cruet set with the food.

The room was spacious and comfortable. Friendly and accommodating front desk staff. Lovely shower, a pity that there is no door on the actual shower though.

They advertised Nespresso machines just to confirm that it does not work unless you want to get warm water. Also no capsules. Had to ask for milk and coffee as there was nothing in room. Normal sachets of coffee provided. No nespresso. Parking really a problem in small street. Only 1 person working at "restaurant" for breakfast and it took almost an hour to get our breakfasts.

I used to stay at Sugar frequently, then the dining area was under renovation, and what seemed to be temporary dining wasn’t great. On returning it seems that the temporary tiny dining area is permanent. If the weather is good, that’s ok, as you can sit outside. If not good weather, like the last visit, you squash up inside. There seems to be a cost cutting exercise with coffee, and I love decent coffee. The rooms and dining area are equipped with decent coffee machines. When I asked for pods for the coffee machine in the room, I was given Nescafé instant coffee sachets (“we don’t do the pods any more” was the answer), I would have paid for pods if that was the case. At breakfast I asked for cappuccino, but because they were not using their decent machine, I was given instant coffee with cream on top. May sound like silly reasons, but will not return due to the small details, despite enjoying the location and rooms.

The location is great, the rooms are excellent.

There was no parking - but were sorted out afterwards. Thanks to Oncemore. The dogs, and the dog poop were lying around where we were parking The unfriendly Spa ladies

Location, even though the area is totally safe, the front of the building when arriving looked sketchy and it is not the Waterfront. Unfortunately the difference between the actual Waterfront and this area is huge, especially if you come from Europe. We have tried both.

I do wish the timing of the varnish being applied outside our original room had been better planned. We had to switch rooms and lose the balcony because of it. Fortunately, we got a bigger bed. I do want to strongly advise better enforcement of mask wearing for staff AND guests. For the most part, masks were worn incorrectly (under the nose) or not at all which made us uncomfortable and the onus should not be on us as guests to correct staff and definitely not to correct fellow guests. This was particularly worrying as we are approaching a third wave.

Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. The location, the bed and the ability to just walk down a few steps to the restaurant (with great food) were definitely the highlights.

I ran out of hot water, which wasn't ideal.

The staff were helpful and friendly. We loved Zara the dog. My room was spacious and clean, and overall we had a wonderful stay.
