Extremely well kept. The theme of this beautiful Manor house was kept throughout even to the newly added buildings. Gardens are well laid out and tended very well. Absolutely beautiful and tranquil.

The weather on Saturday could have been better.

This was the most spectactacular place I have stayed in for a long time. On arrival we were offered a bottle of the Vredenburg Chenin Blanc because there was a small probem with entry to the estate (which is very secure). The bedrooms were superb with everything and more that you could ever need. The staff were 5* and witty with it. The public rooms make you feel as though you are on the set of Downton Abbey and the breakfast is legendary. The gardens are exquisite and if Vredenburg should ever become a frail care centre then please put my name down as an applicant. But, nonsense aparrt, this was one of the finest guest houses I ave ever stayed in. A final thought.....would that South Africa was run with such charm and efficiency.

Breakfast was great. The managers Leon and Luke were friendly and paid attention to detail. The staff were all friendly and helpful and seemed to love their work. You drive past shanty towns on the highway to get to this place. It is an oasis of calm and very well maintained. If I didn't live on the other side of the world (Canada) I would make it a more regular destination.

This is a beautiful old house with very attentive staff. When we arrived, the lady took time to explain how to lock the doors, the facilities in the bedroom etc. The room was filled with delightful touches such as the floral decoration lying on each of the towels. There is a beautiful garden, pool and comfortable sun loungers. Breakfast was delicious and the owner had kindly arranged an early breakfast for us as we had a flight to catch. A dining option is only available for large groups, but the lady who met us made a reservation at a very good restaurant a 4 minute drive from the house. We only stayed for 1 night as a convenient stopover, 30-45 drive minutes from the airport, but I can highly recommend this manor House.

We loved everything!

A perfect gem. We loved Vredenburg Manor. Lovely room, beautifully decorated with a big bed and a spacious bathroom, fluffy towels, robes, toiletries, We had a private terrace overlooking the pool and gardens where a varied breakfast was served daily. There's an honesty bar with drinks to suit all tastes and the staff were super friendly. Hosts Leon & Luke couldn't have been nicer. Very easy drive to the wine areas, Stellenbosch and Franschoek and a choice of good restaurants in the area.

Everything was just fantastic and exceeded our expectations. We had our own terrass just outside the room where we enjoyed the lovely breakfast and could relax in the afternoons. And it was just close to the beautiful pool area and the garden as well. Upon our request we could also enjoy a delicious three course dinner one evening. Beautiful location! We attended a family wedding nearby and our whole family stayed at Vredenburg Manor house. It was comfortable, beautiful and included a delicious breakfast. Stunning art in all the rcommon rooms.
