The Royal is in a brilliant location for everything. The rooms were bright, clean and overlooked a lovely little court yard. There was a nice touch of there being a free continental breakfast which was unexpected. We only saw one member of staff while there as only stayed for a couple of nights, but he was very friendly and helpful and made sure our bags were in our room when we came back to check in. Would definitely stay there again 👍

Greenbank Farmhouse is located just 20 minutes’ drive from the centre of Lancaster. A beautifully converted former cheese dairy, it boasts extensive gardens and free on-site parking.

Excellent breakfast with porridge, cereal, chopped up fresh fruit, yogurt, Full English, juice, tea / coffee plus toast / butter and jam. Clean room. Settee in bed room. Bath and shower. Plenty hot water. Good quality towels / soaps. Nice to watch wild life at breakfast time. Friendly staff who were not slow and did not rush you either. Television in the room was fine. The bed was warm and comfy.

I think that the pub and inn have lots of local charm. It is fun to stay around there. The bed was also extremely comfortable. I look forward to coming back in the future!
