The view is amazing, location is close to everything and the staff couldn't be more accommodating. Eleonora, the manager, arranged a pick-up for us from the port. She also booked us a day tour to Panarea and Stromboli. On our departure date, she offered to open breakfast early for us or even pack up a to go box for us which was incredibly thoughtful. Hotel I Cinque Balconi is centrally located in Santa Marina Salina, with beautiful views across the Mediterranean Sea and the other Aeolian Islands. The surrounding area is full of shops and restaurants and is pedestrian only during summer.

Angela is an amazing host - she greeted us on arrival, offered coffee, fresh juices and gave us recommendations on what to do in Salina, including renting a scooter (delivered at the hotel itself). The hotel is a gem, overlooking the sea and the islands of Vulcano, Panarea and Stromboli - if visibility is clear, you can also see the volcano of Stromboli steaming & bursting at night. The room was impeccably clean and the window overlooking the sea and the other islands made it so dreamy! Breakfast was freshly made every morning with home baked cakes, fresh croissants, bread and fruits. We will definitely be back & can’t recommend this place enough!
