Le Grand Hotel is a designer hotel situated in central Poitiers, within walking distance of Notre-Dame la Grande and Poitiers Palace. It offers air-conditioned guest rooms with a contemporary décor. The room we had was a generous size, had tea/coffee making facilities and a terrace. The bathroom had a bath with a shower over which had good water pressure. Bed was clean and comfortable, air con worked well. The location was perfect, straight out of the front door into the centre of town with loads of bars and restaurants to choose from. Secure underground parking is a great asset and was around 8€ for the night.

The staff was great -- very accommodating. For an "old fashioned" hotel, all the amenities and comforts were present. The room was simple but large and very clean.

Very quiet. Cosy room with a very comfortable bed. Extremely helpful staff. The hotel has a lovely bar, it's all a bit oldfashioned but in a very good way. You feel very welcomed. The highlight is the food. Beautifully cooked dishes are beautifully presented and accompanied by wines from a good wine list. Very tasty breakfast

Located a 20-minute drive from Saumur and less than a 5-minute drive from Fontevraud L'Abbaye, Domaine de Roiffé is is set in 19th-century buildings. Friendly and helpful staff it has a nice bar and restaurant area overlooking the golf course but the "Deluxe" room which we booked was not very good very basic and the bed was positioned against the hallway wall so you could here every one coming and going poor layout of rooms however the bed was comfortable
