At Cottage Morinokokage, guests can rent out a cottage with a hammock. Free WiFi is available in the guest rooms. Our host Mr Nakashima was very kind and generous during our stay. He always replied to our messages via bookings.com very quickly, so it was easy to ask any questions and get help whenever we needed. When we had to change our travel dates and book a different room for the last day, he was very understanding and went the extra mile to assist us in transferring our luggage to the new room. Needless to say, the cottages themselves were adorable and lovely! Very clean and spacious, and the beds were comfortable. The best thing is the shoe dryer machine provided in the room. Because it rains so much in Yakushima, that device was invaluable in preparing our footwear for another day of adventure as they would be dry in no time! On the only one clear night we experienced, we were able to see some stars outside the room. The atmosphere is peaceful and you can hear birds chirping in the morning. It rained almost every day we visited, and yet we truly enjoyed our time in Yakushima thanks to the warm welcome from his family & colleagues, and appreciate all the help (especially advising us on the correct port to go for our departure ferry).

Situado a 5 minutos de carro do Porto de Miyanoura, o Wa no Cottage Sen-no-ie disponibiliza chalés privados de estilo japonês rodeados pela natureza. The whole area is just wonderful and a great starting point for exploring the island. We stayed in a spacious wooden cabin with out own kitchenette and toilet, and we had our own private bathroom with a bath that comfortably fits one person and uncomfortably two. :)) The accommodation is in walking distance from few restaurants and bus stops, but also hidden away in the nature, close to a river. The owner is very nice and hospitable and even picked us up in the city when we first arrived. We had a great time!

Cafe da manha muito boa, localização muito perto da estação de trem e de shoppings. A atendimento muito amigável e atenciosos. Quarto limpos e aconchegantes. Hotel relativamente novo e bem decorado. E possível ver o nascer do Sol ao lado do Sakurajima. Banheiros excelentes.

The prettiest hotel ever! The bedrooms are so incredible, you can really feel like Japan in the 1900s, super traditional. The staff are really friendly, they speak English. The breakfast is amazing, but if you’re looking for a toast or something more ocidental, I wouldn’t recommend it. Otherwise, go for it! So worth it.

Hotel bed is very good quality. Very comfortable hotel. Not too far from restaurants, JR line. Is a good hotel to stay at if you want to be close to Kagoshima airport.
