We loved staying at the French Bay house, it was super comfortable, spacious and the location was perfect. Tim was a great host , we so enjoyed talking to him and enjoyed the delicious breakfast in the morning. We would highly recommend this BnB!

Situated 3 minutes' drive from the centre of Sumner, in the Canterbury Region, 11 km from Christchurch, Cave Rock Guest House boasts a barbecue and views of the sea. Had everything you needed for light meal prep. Huge windows that looked out to a beautiful garden setting. Nice patio for wine / coffee sipping. Gail and Norm were excellent hosts. Comfy bed. Right across from the beach 3 restaurants and an ice cream shop very near by.

Exceptionally beautiful surroundings, remote yet close to town…. The bird song here at dawn was one of the highlights of my trip. The hosts are friendly and attentive. The view is from a high hillside overlooking Akaroa, very special. The lodge room was entirely unique, especially the sweet loft room ( for fit adults or children only) .
