This home was lovely, clean, and comfortable. It had all the everyday necessities we needed (kitchenware, towels and soaps) and the location was convenient to grocery stores, gas, and restaurants. The location was also perfect for a couple of days spent in Aoraki/Mt. Cook National Park, and had a lovely view out over the fields and mountains from the living room window.

The. Cottage was spacious and comfortable - more than adequate for our 1 night stay. Very nice linen on Master bed. Even though I did not meet the staff, the communication was excellent with clear instructions on after hours access.

Room (given the rate) was more like a modern clean motel than a luxurious lodge. I fully appreciate what the owners are trying to do but it falls short on a global scale. Our hosts were very courteous. Dining again was pleasant but fell short of expectations. The food was above average but not excellent. The dining room was very basic and again, given the ambiance and experience the owners are trying to achieve, fell short.

Felt like such a magical getaway to have the mountains to loom at too. We were upgraded to the house and it was such a treat to have Lake Pukaki right there! Amazing bath tub to soak in after a long drive was very welcome and night sky was phenomenal.
