Located right in front of Matsushima Bay, Komatsukan Kofu-tei offers accommodations with free wired internet access. I can not say enough about this hotel. First off, location location location. The views of matsushima bay and the little islands were breath taking. Now add the ability to soak in an onsen and enjoy those views? Phenomenal. The staff were next level and beyond attentive. From the welcome tea to the seven course dinner and amazing breakfast I felt well taken care of throughout my stay. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Boasting a garden and a shared lounge, Hotel Ubudo is located in Matsushima and is 900 metres from Entsuin Temple. We like everything about the hotel.

Tokinenoyado Yunushiichijoh is situated in the Kamasaki Onsen district in Shiroishi, a 15-minute drive from Shiroishi Station and Shiroishi-Zao Station. Guests can enjoy the on-site restaurant. The hotel itself is really nice. Staffs were great. They have good English speaking staffs for foreigners. Our room was nice and clean. Most likely recently renovated. We booked half-board and enjoyed dinner and breakfast in a private room, in the old building. Onsen was also nice.

かっぱの宿旅館三治郎 features indoor/outdoor hot-spring baths and various facilities including karaoke rooms and a sauna. The staff was exceptionally nice and welcoming. They were prepared to deal with guests of the world via technology and an open-minded attitude. The food was a delicious collection of the local ocean's best and the service excellent and friendly. We had an amazing time there, especially for a first stop on our Japan journey. Thank you! :D
