I stayed on two occasions and both times I was very satisfied. It's funny how some reviewers complain about how far this place is from Dublin City centre, do people read description and use the map when booking, I wonder. So yes, it is far as it is not Dublin but Maynooth :D but it is clean, modern, with kitchen where you can cook (not super meals but basic breakfast and dinner you surely can). My first stay was in older part of the campus but still in very good shape, and when I explained I need as quiet room as possible, the staff member at the reception looked it up for me. I was very grateful for her time, all staff I met was incredibly nice. The whole area is green, it is very quiet around the buildings. It is also very safe, people can't get in or out the building without card key, so for me overall again 10 out 10.
NB - People, read the description of this place and you won't get disappointed.

Firstly, this is a home stay, and once you get used to that, it’s easy, comfortable, clean and convenient. The owner/host is a delightfully charming and friendly man who will bend over backwards to assist you in any way, but he can’t do that if you don’t let him know what you need.
Set in Maynooth in the Kildare County region, Private room in a new shared apartment has a balcony. Both free WiFi and parking on-site are accessible at the homestay free of charge.
Small, busy university town. Varied restaurant types.
Small, busy university town. Varied restaurant types. Italian pizzeria Falò and Indian restaurant recommended. Well served by public transport to Dublin and the airport. There is much more to discover about Maynooth than meets the eye. If you are interested and have time, ask and you will be pleasantly surprised!

I wasn't in Maynooth as a tourist, I was visiting family. But I know it is a very nice place with good restaurants and interesting places to visit in the vicinity. It is also not too far from Dublin city.

The location on the advert suggested it was in Maynooth.
The location on the advert suggested it was in Maynooth. It wasn’t. Very frustrating to not have supplied an eircode for travel to the accommodation
The dirty toilet and scruffy tattered blind did not enhance our visit.

The owners were extremely helpful, informative, polite and hospitable. They went out of their way each day to check on us and see if we needed help seeing the sights of Dublin. They were very warm and caring.

There is so much to see and do in Maynooth and within a few minutes drive. It is one of those hidden gems that most people don't know about. We did a castle tour and our OPW guide was so knowledgeable. We visited St Patrick's College which is just so full of history and has wonderful gardens and ivy covered buildings. A short drive from Maynooth (<3 miles) we saw Connolly's Folly (The Obelisk), Carton House, and Castletown House and Parklands where we had another OPW tour after we strolled through the tree trail and gardens. We had a pint in the Roost. We had wonderful meals in several local restaurants. We took the train into Dublin. The Train Station is just across the street from the Hotel - so convenient and such a nice train ride. We did some necessary shopping in Maynooth and found everything that we needed walking distance from the hotel. We enjoyed the small town charm of Maynooth with the amenities we wanted.

Unfortunately we did not stay long enough to explore Maynooth and had a short walk in the town the evening we arrived. It seemed lovely and there were some bars and fast food outlets near the campus and our stay at campus itself was not disturbed in any way by it's closeness to the bars, it was a very peaceful location.
This was a beautiful house in the Kildare countryside. It was so peaceful. The room was old style with big windows and a very comfortable bed.
Jim was a friendly welcoming host. We were attending a wedding in Barberstown Castle and Jim gave us a lift over (approx 10 minutes by car) which we appreciated so much.
Kind thoughtful and welcoming hosts. Shared bathroom was not a problem. It was sparkling clean and right next to my room. I had a comfortable and peaceful night well within reasy reach of direct train into central Dublin in the early morning.. Perfect for my requirements and excellent value
This place is magical- absolutely beautiful and tastefully decorated with gorgeous ground that you can walk for hours. The food, the room, the staff- everything was perfection! The best hotel we have ever stayed at in Ireland, and maybe the best of our entire travels. Highly recommend!
Nice market café with breakfast options, or you can do breakfast in the hotel restaurant. Good dinner in the hotel Restaurant and friendly bar. Great location - - rail station across the street and bus to airport stops across the street.
A real luxury hotel, with clean and comfortable premises and good cocktail bar and restaurants. The dinner at Kathleen's kitchen was really nice! The staff in reception and cocktail bar are very friendly and professional.
LOVELY location. Very clean and updated room and bathroom. Great communication with owners, even when we needed to contact them late in the evening. Nice quiet location with short drive to the commuter train in Maynooth.
So easy to use ! Didnt see any staff. Lock box on the front door with a key, then lock box at the room door , with key for front door and room.
Perfect location. Main street Maynooth .
Bottles of water in the room.
5 minute walk from the town center, plenty of parking, nice small clean rooms.. don't stay here if you looking for a hotel quality room.. it a unique experience.but worth it. It like staying in a monks dormatory
Breakfast was excellent. Staff very efficient and polite especially the breakfast staff. Male receptionist who checked us in was very helpful.
Most comfortable hotel bed and bed linen I have ever experienced.
The apartment was just as described and the staff were very quick to get back to me when I had queries about on street parking outside. I stayed in Maynooth as Dublin was too expensive for St Patrick's weekend.
Very clean. Quite. Location is very good, 2 mins outside Maynooth if driving. Could easily walk to if needed. Host was very nice with messages directly after booking and on the day of arrive with directions.
Location was very close to work and only 12 mins drive from Maynooth! The hosts provided a binder full of information that you need. Any question that you might have will be in the binder. Very handy
The room was a good size, the bed was comfortable, the bathroom was spotless with a nice shower. The location itself was spot on. Right in the centre of Maynooth.
Amazing location and setting. Beautiful buildings. Staff incredibly friendly and lovely breakfast. Really handy for the restaurants and bars in Maynooth.
