Facing Cork City Hall, the Clayton Hotel Cork overlooks the River Lee. It offers beautifully designed air-conditioned rooms, a health and spa centre with pool, and a fine restaurant.

Really great location! Water pool was amazing! Breakfast is delicious. All city sights are so close to the hotel location thus we were able to walk around around almost all of them! Also we have gotten discount for the underground parking and the price was almost 14.5 instead of 40 euro per day

Very pleasant accommodation. Big room, clean and really comfortable bed. Breakfast very good, nothing was missing there. We didn't try the SPA because we didn't have enough time during our trip, but the pool looked amazing and clean. Staff was very friendly.

FAQs about hotels in Cork

Irish Spirit In A Nutshell

Situated on the banks of the River Lee, Cork’s city centre was originally built on marshes and many of its popular streets are constructed on the former river channels. With a thriving nightlife and a vibrant cultural scene, the Irish Republic’s second biggest city is full of surprises.

Those interested in history should pay a visit to the Cork City Gaol, an old prison transformed into one of the city’s most fascinating attractions, or join the Cork Historic Walking Tours, which offer a great opportunity to learn all the city’s secrets.

For those craving more lively entertainment, the city offers the famous Cork City Pub Crawl or even more exciting, the Barrack Street Challenge, where participants drink pints of beer in all bars along Barrack Street.

The shopping area is concentrated around the most famous street - St. Patrick Street. For local food specialities like crubeens, tripe and drisheen, browse bars and restaurants around MacCurtain, Washington and Oliver Plunkett Streets.

When flying to Cork Airport, you’re just a short taxi or bus ride from the lively city centre. Don’t worry about accommodation; Booking.com has plenty on offer, from convenient hotels, to cosy guest houses and bed & breakfasts.

A built up area with prices to match.

A built up area with prices to match. I visited a friend during the stay and my time there was just wonderful. The layout of Cork city centre was just windy. The parking which we parked at near the hotel was just fine. And parking the second day was providentially coming. Parking is hard in the city though. Shandon bells was heard from my hotel. I still abstained from an alcoholic beverage , it allowed for that

Cork had an vibrant atmosphere, there is lots to see around the city. According to a local person the bus service is good but it is considered expensive. The people are friendly & helpful. Unfortunately I was only there 1 night for work but would like to enjoy the city for leisure as well.

We visited specially to go to Paradiso - we had a 6 course tasting menu and the food and service were impeccable. We enjoyed exploring the bars and cafes in the centre, which were all lively. We enjoyed The Crawford Gallery, University Craft Fair and The English Market. Some lovely department shops. A short cab ride from the airport, Cork made a good 2 day break in November.

    Cork is a fantastic city.

Cork is a fantastic city. It’s wheelchair accessible and kid friendly, tons of options for food and shopping, tons of history and tons of scenery. The highlight was a trip to the English Market and to Luigi Malone’s on the Saturday. Our first family holiday in almost 10 years and our kids had a ball. Already making plans to return for a longer stay next time.
