We stayed 2 nights at Cork.
We stayed 2 nights at Cork. Years ago we were planned to move here with my partner, and I am glad that we didn't. We spent only 1 day of visiting Cork. To be honest we were quite surprised that there are not many historical buildings around the city, all buildings are quite grey and we were missing the green from the city. We had a great time, but just because we had a good weather and we planned some boat tours which made our trip more colorful. Be aware that you don't get food after 9 pm, you have to reserve everywhere, it was impossible to find a place to eat after a long day on the sea.

During my visit to Cork, I found the city to be a charming blend of history and modernity. The vibrant cultural scene, friendly locals, and picturesque landscapes made for a delightful experience. However, my stay at the Hatch Rooms was a low point, marred by uncomfortable accommodations and poor value for money. Despite this, Cork's rich heritage, bustling markets, and scenic river views left a lasting impression.

Short family break.
North Main St area was a good place for going out, nice pubs and plenty of nice places to eat.
Fota was lovely.
Cobh was a great place to visit but there were only a few limited places to eat in on Sun afternoon.
Overall Cork was a great, safe, busy place to shop in and go out in at night. Like a city on the continent :-)

Lively city, lots to do, felt safe and there was a great energy. Visited some great bars, had a lovely meal at The Market Place and it was easy to find your way around. Also recommend the short trip to Midleton Distillery just out of the city and easy to get the train.
We stayed for a night on our way to West Cork. The property is located close to the City Centre with bus stops right at the gate.
The staff were very friendly, breakfast was great.
We booked a second night for our return journey.
The hotel is in the process of renovating the rooms the second room we stayed in had a fresh bathroom which enhanced the experience.
We would definitely stay here again.
The hotel is very charming, in an old building with a waterfall in the yard. Shops, clubs, pubs and restaurants are nearby, the city centre is 5 min by walk. Aircoach to Dublin in the same street. Breakfast was very good and not expensive. Wlan worked very well, the beds were comfortable. I got a quiet room on request in the 3rd floor (well isolated window). I would definitely stay here again!
Our very first visit to this fabulous hotel, we were met by a very friendly Receptionist, Geraldine. We were made feel very welcome and shown to the lounge area, while we waited to check in. Hotel is in an excellent location, short stroll into city centre. Highly recommend this hotel, as all staff were so helpful and friendly. We will be returning. Thank you.
The public areas were lovely and modern, staff were very attentive and friendly. Location was a great bonus too, less than 10min walk into the city centre. Room was clean and housekeeping changed our towels and bedsheets for our 2nd night when we hung up the sign. We had lunch in the hotel and that was nice too.
