Classic retreat hotel - warm welcome on arrival, attentive staff, great dining options. It is like staying a country manor house but being able to walk into town. Definitely try the formal dining option - the menu was well put together and with a good wine list. The rooms are comfortable with a nice aspect over the gardens and views out to the town.

IrelandDinner in the normal dining room was lovely and staff are efficient although there are a couple of wait staff who don't know the full menu or speak good English. The room was very expensive for what we got as the 3 previous 5 star hotels in the same price bracket got us a much bigger suite and very well furnished. I guess the price is due to it's location to Cork.
