We had a lake view room, it was very spacious and clean and had beautiful views over the lake. Bed was comfortable, a large well stocked bathroom and there was a sofa and chairs, coffee and tea making facilities were available. There was also water dispensers on each floor. We used the thermal suite, it was definitely worth it and apart from us there were only two other people using it at that time. The days we were there only the bar was available for food, it was quite good.

Staff were excellent, we were greeted on arrival by the receptionist Rebecca I think her name was. She was amazing, room and facilities were excellent. The staff in the pool area were excellent also and very friendly. Breakfast was very good and the restaurant staff were helpful and friendly. Overall a great experience from the hotel. Yer staff are a credit to ye. It was also decorated beautifully for Christmas. Would highly recommend this hotel. Looking forward to our next visit.

While it looks old fashioned, and indeed it is rather a blast from the past, it has "warmth" and good karma. Room was comfortable, functional washroom with perfect shower, A/C was good and was well attended to by the cleaning staff. Breakfast was very good in both selection and quality. Staff was really polite and courteous. And teh location was perfect.

The Lily of the Lake

Overlooking the tranquil waters of Lough Leane, colourful Killarney is a top Irish tourist destination. The UNESCO-listed Killarney National Park surrounds Muckross House, a stately home sitting in large grounds with a traditional farm.

A tree-lined lane leads to Muckross Abbey, a former Franciscan monastery whose cloisters enclose a tall yew tree. Celtic crosses line the cemetery and beyond is the lake, at the centre of which is a tree-lined outcrop, home of the historic Ross Castle. This 15th-century stone fortress once housed the O’Donoghue clan, one of whom reportedly lives at the bottom of the lough.

More legends envelop the Ring of Kerry – a scenic drive starting from Killarney and supposedly the last place to spot a leprechaun. Gushing Torc waterfall is just one of its fantastic sights.

In Killarney itself, horse-drawn carts roam narrow streets whose Irish pubs offer great nightlife. Impressive St Mary’s Cathedral has a towering spire and somewhat dark interior. The local gaelic football team play at Fitzgerald Stadium, and more sports can be enjoyed at Killarney riding stables and the nearby golf and fishing club. There is also a popular racecourse.

Killarney is an excellent place to visit, especially if you want to balance outdoor activities with a lively town setup.The biggest draw is the location. Having Killarney National Park right next to the town makes it incredibly easy to get out to spots like Ross Castle, Torc Waterfall, and the lakes. It is scenic, accessible, and well worth spending a few days exploring.The town itself is compact but very busy, with a great energy in the evenings. There is a massive choice of pubs and restaurants, and you can find brilliant live music almost any night of the week. The infrastructure for tourism is highly polished, meaning everything runs smoothly and the locals are genuinely welcoming. It is a highly recommended spot if you are planning a trip to the west of Ireland.

The Main Street was picturesque, lively and interesting.

The Main Street was picturesque, lively and interesting. The walks were flat and easy. The parks were interesting with many photo opportunities. Refreshments were close by. If I shut my eyes, the clearest memories are filled with horse drawn buggies clopping all around Killarney. The waterfall is so accessible as cars can get very close. The cafeteria at Muckross Farm was well stocked, had a pleasant out door area and delicious (appearing) food.

Killarney is one of the loveliest places I have ever visited. The town is clean, lots of choice of places to eat and drink, spotlessly clean and the people very welcoming The surround scenery was spectacular and took my breath away

Beautiful scenic town with easy access to attractions and Kerry Airport. Loved the grounds of Muckross House and Killarney house. Good food to suit all budgets ranging from supermarkets/garages and high end restaurants. Super clean town with great hospitality and ideally location base for the Ring of Kerry exploration.

Very simple, Killarney is Killarney, a wonderful town to visit & it is always buzzing. Something would have to be radically wrong with you if you left Killarney & did'nt have a great time. Age does'nt matter, there is just so much to enjoy in Killarney, young or old.

Lovely area.

Lovely area. From our room had view of lake, saw deer in the evening and next morning. Facilities were very nice, clean, and comfortable. Great walking trails around the National Park. In one of the messages to the hotel, I mentioned we were celebrating an early anniversary trip. Management was so kind to leave chocolates and a picture of the hotel grounds in our room. Dinner in the restaurant was very good. Breakfast buffet was wonderful as was the ability to order from the kitchen. Overall, value for the room and view, easy access to area, and breakfast buffett made this an enjoyable overnigh stay.

Lovely leisure centre in the hotel, close to shops and within walking distance to the town centre and cinema. Excellent breakfast choice,buffet style, and you could also order freshly cooked extras from the breakfast menu. Great value 2 course dinner for 2 adults €60, la beautiful meal and good choice on the menu. Free electric car charging points at the hotel. Friendly staff would highly recommend this hotel for touring Kerry and Cork.

This hotel offers a good experience with its cleanliness and friendly staff. Situated in a fantastic location, it provides stunning views outside and is just off the Ring of Kerry road and only a short 10-minute drive from Killarney town centre. The property is well-maintained, ensuring a pleasant stay for guests. And they have comfortable beds.
