A very neat, clean and perfectly organized city with Austrian organization and Italian flair. The feeling of security is very high, there are no beggars, no suspicious men. The stores sell excellent goods, there are no cheap stores like New Yorker, generally there are no international brands, but that's why you find very high quality goods at reasonable prices.
The food is gastronomic, and the prices are acceptable. The architecture is first class.

Bruneck is located in the center of the lower Puster Valley...
Bruneck is located in the center of the lower Puster Valley and has excellent connections with the entire region of eastern South Tyrol. From there it is easy to be in the mountains and forests within an hour or so and experience all the incredible beauty of the region and there are lots of walks and cycle paths to choose from. . But staying in town has its attractions too, namely the old part of town and many more choices for dining than one would have in a mountain resort. In any case, this combination worked perfectly for us.

The castle wasn't particularly easy to get to as the path from the town was very steep. Nice but a bit pricey.
Cable car to the top of the mountain was definitely worth it. Breathtaking views.

Great hotel in a nice town. there is a supermarket down the same building. Fantasy view of the vast field behind the building. Behavior beyond expectation from the owner; classy and gentle manner. He/she was so generous and helpful that he even gave us an connected room. We were greeted by a nicely written letter. The apartments are nice and clean and have a sauna, jacuzzi and bathtub. And the balcony has a place for grilling with all its requirements.
