Wendy (I hope I have recalled her name correctly) was extremely friendly and welcoming. She was very cheerful and attentive.
The property has history and is full of character and charm with a lovely garden. It is really close to Old Shanklin Village and The Chine; so is in a great location.
There is a good choice of food at breakfast.
Toiletries are supplied and there is tea and coffee readily available. It is more than a B & B; it has an open bar and comfortable lounge and grounds.
We were really happy with our accommodation and had a lovely stay.

Was also told there was entertainment on but then got told no they wouldn’t be having any so false information all the time.

The accommodation and location was perfect.
The accommodation and location was perfect. The site was quiet and on-site facilities adequate. The restaurant was not as seen online and the vast gluten free menu which we were expecting ( two coeliac 's within party) was vastly reduced and most of it not available, what we got was really not edible and soooh disappointing

The IOW is not a big island therefore staying here is very well located to reach any point of interest in less than 30 minutes. the accommodations are very comfortable. the restaurant was closing too early or not opening at all. they could have early options for breakfast , normally i dont need it but traveling for work and for 2 weeks i have missed wifi too much, i think they could improve installing modems around the facility

If your expectations are based on the web site like ours then be warned. No pool open, no food available, bar shut by 20:00. No other activities available. Basically the site was just open for accommodation and nothing else! Costly compared to others being honest and saying accommodation only.

Indoor pool really dirty.
Indoor pool really dirty. Rusty lockers and indoor pool inadequately treated so displaying algae at the side and cloudy water. Our cabin had really stained carpet in the lounge (black marks all over beige carpet) and a stained sofa so felt grotty sitting in there. No Wi-Fi access in cabins.
I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone wanting to explore the Isle of Wight. The hotel has excellent views and facilities for families. It is well located allowingbyou can also get anywhere within 30 minutes or go on hikes if you wish to. The rooms were very spacious and comfortable for me and my family. All the staff were friendly and provided a variety of options for breakfast and dinner. They were also very accommodating to the dietary requirements of my kids and served us in a timely manner.
Our 2nd time holidaying at the lakes rookley, and we fully intend returning again next year!
Very friendly & welcoming staff on reception & also in the bar area.
Lovely place to stay, static homes are fully equipped with everything needed for our stay, very comfortable. Facilities on site were great to, we made use of the indoor pool & the bar area served yummy food. See u again soon!
Very well appointed and spacious room. Breakfast was wonderful with a big selection of dishes and Ali, the morning attendant, provided great service and even tried to book us a horse ride during one of the mornings.
Overall we have had a great experience and highly recommend the hotel.
The room was very spacious and bathroom was really beautiful as it had a shower and bath unit😊 very clean, and had bits and pieces for use which not even hotel rooms have.food was delicious and all the staff is very friendly and polite❤we will be definitely coming back
The lakes are beautiful and the park is kept spotless. All the staff were so friendly and helpful. Everything we wanted to do whilst on the island was so easy to get to from Rookley. It was the most beautiful setting for our family break.
The hotel was lovely, our room was big and overlooked the fields full of horses. The breakfast was amazing, served by friendly, helpful staff.
The outside area was great for my little grandson to explore while we enjoyed a drink
We stayed in a 4 birth static caravan, which was reasonably clean inside. Staying in Rookley meant we were in the middle so 25 mins to anywhere on the island.
The Lakes Rookley is in a fab location for surrounding beaches and day trips. The on-site staff were very friendly including Vanessa in the bar/ restaurant.
