Me and my wife were very glad to have chosen this one.

Many families visiting Bournemouth loved staying at Derby Manor, Tregonholme Hotel and The Chocolate Box Hotel.
There are a lot of shops which have closed down. If somebody has walking difficulties I would not recommend it because it is very hilly. I visited the Russell Cotes museum which was extremely interesting. I only ate at the hotel. It is not particularly easy to get round Bournemouth if you are staying just outside.
Shopping was very disappointing. The shopping arcade is run down, with some shops shut. Instead we recommend visiting Westbourne and Dorchester. Great for Lovers of Rock/Heavy metal visit The Anvil.
Walk along the prom was nice albeit windy so sand did cover alot of the path. Water machines were plentiful so easy to refill own bottles which was great. Toilets were at regular intervals open and clean.. but closed by 5pm. Pier was nice to walk along. Some places were closed but we did visit at the end of March, probably seasonal so maybe open at Easter onwards. Did come across a big park, just off the front which was a pleasant surprise. Didnt visit the town itself. Easy walk along the prom all the way to Sandbanks.. it is abour 7m round trip and takes an hour each way. But worth it not to sit in traffic and pay for parking!
I was shocked that there wasn't a lot of shops in the town centre. The pier was closed apart from a restaurant at the end. The beach was clean and stretched for what appeared to be miles. Due to time of year I visited it was practically empty. I eat in the spice of India which isn't in the town centre but I would recommend a visit as the food was delicious and as I went on a Tuesday there was a special offer so eat for a reasonable price. I found it easy to drive and park but I would think in the summer it may be more difficult.
It’s an upmarket resort with a great beach and beautiful gardens. It is disappointing for me that the city center pubs are dominated by Wetherspoons and of course places like Bournemouth attract the homeless of which there are many. But those that I spoke with were pleasant enough people. Otherwise a wonderful place to visit with great hotels which are excellent value for money. Waking up with a view of Bournemouth beach is not a bad way to start your day.
This trip was great for dog owners as the beach was perfect for them off season. Westbourne was a stroll away with some great shops bars and restaurants. The Lazy Fox was great for cocktails and very considerate with our dog. The West Beach restaurant was excellent for a relaxing meal overlooking the beach and i nice bottle of wine. Again very dog friendly and the food was excellent
I have been coming to Bournemouth for years, but never felt more at home at a hotel than at the Fairmount Hotel! The hotel is central, close to the ocean and the town Centre, with local shops and restaurants in walking distance. The rooms are always neat, tidy, and welcoming. The beds are comfortable, internet is great and the atmosphere is cosy and comfortable. And the best part about the hotel are the owners, who are caring, loving and heart-warming, and always go the extra mile to ensure you feel at home!
Bournemouth
Owners were lovely & nothing was too much trouble. Property appeared to be very well looked after with plenty of period character & charm which the owners have kept. I’d say one of ( if not the) best in Bournemouth. Spacious room which was warm and of the highest standard. It had everything you could want. Breakfast choice was great and very well cooked with attentive service. You could even order a packed lunch. We’d have no trouble recommending this hotel & will def. be returning. 👍
the hotel is in quite street now far from all the bars resturants and beach,i was with two teenagers so the pool ping pong and swimming pool was brilliant the hotel needs a lot of money spent on it to make it really nice but saying that it was clean and very cheap so cant really moan the the bar area and and resturant was really nice, rooms were a good size and showers were hot all in all would stay there again because it was such good value, the staff were all very good
Bournemouth
It was our second time visiting Bournemouth and staying at The Pavillion Arms. We've stayed in the suite room as a family of 5 (2 adults, 2 kids and a dog) and it's by far the best hotel for a large family to stay in the area. The room was very comfortable, with very friendly staff and a great restaurant. Also, great location within a walking distance of the town centre and beach, but in a quieter and much nicer location. We will come back again soon!
Exceptional value stay for 2 nights. Travelling with husband and friends to visit Christmas lights and market, and attend concert at the Bournemouth Pavilion. The Hotel is, clean, comfortable, in a perfect location, the staff all very friendly and helpful. Our room and en suite were very spacious. The bed was enormous and comfy.. Food/drinks charges reasonable. Wouldn't stay anywhere else in Bournemouth.
We were in Bournemouth for the weekend with our dog and needed a dog friendly hotel. The Trouville was perfect. Great location & very good value for money with breakfast included. We did not have any other meals there but breakfast was good. Staff are friendly and helpful. We had a wonderful weekend on the beach with the dog and will definitely be back.
I have stayed in several of Bournemouth's old hotels along the cliffs, while most of them seem pretty run down this one is by far the best up-kept. The location can't be beat as well, a stone's throw from the pier. It has a lovely garden at the back where one can enjoy drinks and basque in the sun.
The hotel was very cosy and comfortable. It was close to Bournemouth City centre and the beach. The hotel was clean and facilities were excellent. The staff were very friendly and there were lots of lovely extras e.g. complimentary chocolate around the hotel.
Bournemouth
Staff were friendly. The first room we were given was a bit small but we asked for a larger room and we were given one with no problems. Nice clean hotel in a good location. Very convenient if you want to visit the beach.
It's the best location in Bournemouth, minutes away from the beach, pier and the town centre..kids would play at the beach and run back to the hotel to change 😀.We stayed in a family room which was very spacious.
Bournemouth
LOVE THE LOCATION AND VIEW, STAFF ARE VERY FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL. PRETTY DECOR, COMFORTING AND VERY WELCOMING HOTEL. QUIET CORNER OF BOURNEMOUTH, EASY ACCESS TO THE BEACH AND WALKABLE TO THE CITY CENTRE.
Nice hotel in a great location. Especially for the BIC and Bournemouth beaches. The room was a good size clean and nicely equipped for the rate we paid. The food at breakfast was good and plentiful.
Great location for the beach and the town. The hotel is very quirky and interesting compared to standard chain hotels. The decor and furnishings are old, however in keeping with the hotels charm.
The decor was very unique and grand. Our room was clean. The bar area and lounge were really inviting. Parking on site or at sister hotel. Good location for Bournemouth beach. Staff were helpful.
