Having once lived in Bournemouth, it is usually great to go back. However, like many places in the UK at present Bournemouth is looking very tired in the town itself. Westcliff where we stayed is great as of course are the beaches, but we gravitated to Poole/Sandbanks as we prefered the area.
It was January when we stayed there for our wedding anniversary. We payed for a standard room which was OK and had all we expected but the radiator wasn't working so the manager gave us an upgrade to one with a working radiator. The room was a much bigger room with everything working well including the radiators. The bed was fantastic as was the room so grateful thanks to the Trouville hotel. Only one down side was the hotel restaurant was closed in the evening so we had to eat out but there are plenty of eating places within walking distance.
DO NOT GO TO THIS HOTEL. This is not a scam post iit is genuine and sincere. The hotel charged us an additional £12 for parking that was not apparent at the time of booking. We were charged £50 as a deposit for damages. This was not apparent at the time of booking either so in all a £32 n ight stay turned into a Freezing cold draughty gappy windowed tiny duvet and no extra blankets OR breakfast available as advertised on the website stay for £94:00. £32 jumped to £94 when we got there and the staff were sarchastic and offensive and attackingly defensive.
We enjoyed the seafront and walking was an easy option. Hotel based almost central to both Boscombe and Bournemouth piers. The area around the pier at Bournemouth had plenty to do and a nice gardens to walk through. Unfortunately there are alot of empty shops
Bournemouth used to be a place where one could go for a restful holiday. Now it is a bustling place with visitors plying for spaces on the beach. Plenty of accomodations available in all areas. Locations of interest easily attainable by walking or by bus, (use the daily bus ticket for convivence). Try and get out of the town and enjoy the surrounding countryside. West is the Jurassic coast and east is the New Forest. North is Stonehenge. Plenty to do.
Bournemouth has everything for a short break and was really Christmassy with the market and the Christmas tree illuminations. Very expensive for food and drink though and I would imagine if you were there for more than a couple of days with children, this would be an issue
Location is the best location near beach and Bournemouth centre or garden. My room was on top floor family room which was nice but the lift was out of order I have to take my luggage up to the top floor, The staff was too busy to help me. The room was a bit small in size despite of three people. The price is a bit overprice it is more than the 4-star hotel price. The hotel was overall very clean and refurnished with british lovely decoration. The staff was kind enough. if the price is lower I will come again. Thank you
I checked in the hotel, and was told the bar was not open, the restaurant was not open and the pool was also closed. I was in a single room on the 3rd floor 110, the wall paper was coming off the walls, the noise from the seagulls was horrific and woke me up at 4.30 am, my room was so hot and the bed was about 40 years old. In summary this hotel made faulty towers look like a 5 star resort and I will not be staying here ever again, the one thing I will say is that the rate was cheap through booking.com
Very nice room. My daughter said her sofa bed was comfortable. Awesome breakfast. Hampton always includes breakfast and this was one of the best. They had gluten free bread and a dedicated toaster. The eggs, baked beans and hash browns were delicious; didn’t taste like processed eggs. Hubby enjoyed the full English with bacon and sausages. Good coffee and cappuccino! Daughter and hubby also liked the tea. Comfortable bed and I appreciated the extra pillows. Area of the hotel felt safe.
Bournemouth
The location is near to the beach, the view from the building yard towards the sea is beautiful, the apartment is lovely and clean, the kitchen is well equipped, the parking space is covered and strategically located, grocery stores is nearby. I think we will be happy to stay here again when we visit Bournemouth. Just a little friendly suggestion: it will be even wonderful if we can also have extra trash bags and toiletries, especially when we stay multiple days..
Really lovely staff and very helpful. I like all the Britannia hotels. Had not got a room for the next night – so stayed at the Royal Bath hotel -which also is very good and a lovely staff and very helpful too. I asked for a single room and was given a very comfortable double room in both hotels. I have a mobility scooter and it was easy to be able to charge it up each night .I come to Bournemouth quite often and usually stay in a Britannia hotel.
My Wife, youngest Daughter and I spent a four day holiday in Bournemouth as first time visitors. We booked the hotel on Bookings.com and it was great value for money. The rooms were comfortable, the service was very friendly and the breakfast was absolutely delicious. On top of that the location was brilliant with the beach/seafront and the town centre 5 minute walk in either direction. We will definitely be returning customers.
Exceptional value stay for 2 nights. Travelling with husband and friends to visit Christmas lights and market, and attend concert at the Bournemouth Pavilion. The Hotel is, clean, comfortable, in a perfect location, the staff all very friendly and helpful. Our room and en suite were very spacious. The bed was enormous and comfy.. Food/drinks charges reasonable. Wouldn't stay anywhere else in Bournemouth.
We had an amazing time with my mum and my 2 daughters. The game room was a unexpected delight. I stay in Bournemouth a lot and this is probably the best hotel I have stayed in. The staff were 10/10 couldn’t fault them atal! I will be definitely be staying again. My eldest daughter said can we stay again next year so I’m going to book this hotel asap for a longer amount of time next year.
the seafront location was fantastic and having two balconies in my suite was truly enjoyable good quality breakfasts and bar menu for dinners reliable room service pleasant indoor swimming pool, even though the water was far too warm for me nice décor in the common areas and lounges quiet atmosphere of the hotel
The location of the hotel is good for both the beach and the town centre but Bournemouth is very hilly which is something I didn't know till I got there so if you have mobilty issues you might have problems Two of our 3 rooms were of good size and facilities were good. I was very satisfied with my room.
The view from our room, all along Bournemouth beach, in either direction, was spectacular. Sadly, there wasn't much else to praise. There's even an old swimming pool at the front of the hotel, no longer in use, but still full of dirty water. No excuse, for such a big company as Best Western.
Good location in the town centre but the hotel is on a very steep hill. Lovely walk through Bournemouth gardens to the beach. Car parking on site at £16 per 24 hours which we were happy to pay as we knew the car was safe. Reception staff were very helpful - a credit to the hotel.
amazing room and cleaning and comfortable room with nice space of the room, the staff friendly and nice the hotel location is close with everything in Bournemouth beach and city center, if i come back again to Bournemouth for sure i will be stay in this hotel really amazin
Tidy hotel, big comfy beds. Location is quite useful if you have a car you can drive to the nicer beaches east of Bournemouth. Incase of injury the hospital is opposite :) Very cheap, even with all the hidden costs
Nice hotel in a great location. Especially for the BIC and Bournemouth beaches. The room was a good size clean and nicely equipped for the rate we paid. The food at breakfast was good and plentiful.
Nice quiet hotel had a great nights sleep. friendly staff and free parking was a bonus. near to all the shops and the beach, I would come back to this hotel again.
Great value hotel a short walk from Bournemouth seafront. Lovely staff, spotlessly clean. Comfortable beds. Would not hesitate to stay again.
It was generally quite a pleasant hotel. The location is very good for the centre of Bournemouth.
