The Raven Inn is a community run pub and it was amazing, I rang because we needed help with a lift from the end of our walk and one the locals came and collected us; they made a fuss as we were arriving late.

The customer experance is fantasic here nothing to much bother from all of the staff including those in the spa. We really enjoyed our stay with both dinner and breakfast were superb. Also the peacocks were amazing to watch!!!!
Located in the market town of Ruthin, The Feathers is nestled at the foot of the Clywdian Hills. Guests can enjoy a coffee or cask ale in the property's pub.
We were in room 105. The toilet was broken. The room that came out to 9:30 to try and fix it. Couldn’t fix it so we had no toilet all night. The windows rattled. You can get a magazine between the gap. The room was freezing cold we complained in the morning asked for a refund. I was told would they be in touch? That was a week ago? We still don’t have had our money back.

Lyon’s Resort we stayed in Communication before we arrived was none existent even though I contacted the property before hand.
There was no hairdryer even though they said there would be.
There were dead flies in all the light fittings and marks on the walls by the trouser press.
There were no coat hangers in the wardrobe.
There was no option of a cooked breakfast.
The place location was great for the beautiful walk we went on x

Lovely village but would be plenty for people with or without children and lots to do onsite also lots to do further afield as we know the area well whether in the countryside or on the fabulous beaches nearby the Xmas truck run was on the Saturday night I think the whole village turned up must have been 100trucks will definitely go back to see it again next year real community spirit.

Ruthin was very quiet when we stayed Sunday and Monday night in October, just a couple of pubs. The Small Plates Tapas restaurant we planned to visit was closed both nights. The Castle and ruins are worth a walk around. Just a 10 min walk from the Castle Hotel. Nice gardens with live peacocks free to roam. Good for photographs. A market next to hotel i believe opens on a Saturday. Not much else for shoppers.

Ruthin has a lot of history and character.
Ruthin has a lot of history and character. It is well worth walking round the town and noting the architecture of buildings. Ruthin Castle brings it all together and was well situated to defend the town historically.

Ruthin is a beautiful small town.
Ruthin is a beautiful small town. We followed the Town Trail, which took us about 3 hours with a lot of stops on the way, and we could have taken longer.
Small Plates is a great restaurant, a bit like tapas. Ignore the 1 hygiene rating - we were informed by other proprietors that the local hygiene inspectors pay more attention to paper work than hygiene and mark you down if the paper work is not 10)% in order.
Wow! Wow! Wow! 20/10...fantastic accommodation, hosts and location... Absolutely Fab.. You.. Lush stay. Couldn't have asked for more.. We were in the centre of Ruthin and everything was on the door step... Even l as a disabled person found walking possible... Would recommend this owners property to any one.. We will be visiting here again for our next vacation.. Can not praise them enough... Their hospitality was outstanding Five star *****
It was cosy and central and super clean and suited our family of four perfectly.. all facilities were catered for and good communication with the owner. Silly things like shampoo and hand washes sweets on the towels and tea and coffee etc all there. This I expect from a hotel but not an air B&B. The little things make all the difference to your stay and central for Ruthin itself and the castle.
I had a single room right at the very top so it was nice and quiet. My friend had a double which was a little noisier. The rooms, however were lovely and clean and the bed was comfortable too. Facilities were all good. Location excellent, although, sadly quite a few shops on the square had closed down. Ruthin is within easy commute of some lovely towns.
Location is really good. Nice and quiet but also not to far from ruthin itself. The outside facilities looked nice but it was to cold to use. Would like to visit in Sumner.
The little extras ( fresh milk and welshcakes was a nice touch.
Downstairs feel very traditional farm cottage but upstairs ( bedroom and bathroom) are very modern.
The Barn was set in the most idyllic location with stunning views all around. The hosts were very welcoming without being intrusive. The accommodation was spotlessly clean, spacious and modern, and really well equipped in the kitchen and lounge area. We will be back! :)
The location was perfect; it is so quiet it appears isolated but town of Ruthin is easily walkable. Beautiful views and even little viewing huts provided to make the most of them! Cottage was well equipped and extremely comfortable. Friendly and helpful host family.
location was good for touring around N. Wales.
The cottage was realy nice with a great terraced garden to the rear where i was able to play my bagpipes.
and the lady who owns the cottage met with the key and she was really nice and helpful.
Breakfast and location were good. Very good menu for the evening meal with plenty of choice. Also, location very good for accessing different locations in the area. Ample supply of coffee, milk, tea, etc. in the bedroom,
Hotel staff friendly and helpful. Bed very comfortable indeed with quality bed linen. Lovely bathroom, spotlessly clean and fluffy white towels. Evening meal and breakfast good.
We had an excellent stay! It was perfect for what we needed whilst visiting family in Ruthin. It was absolutely spotless and very comfortable. Would most definitely stay again.
Lovely cottage in a great location with everything you need for a great stay. Beautiful ruthin is just a short stroll for many bars and restaurants. Pet friendly too.
the property is very clean and well equipped with everything, it’s very relaxing area to be in. Katherine is very nice person who would take care of everything.
