We loved the Church of St.
We loved the Church of St. Peter and Paul - they feature vivid and colourful stained glass windows made by Harry Clarke. We were in there for way longer than we anticipated, the art was so detailed and interesting. We found handy parking round the back of the castle, but it was February and was quiet so no problems there.

Front desk customer service was absolutely brilliant.
Front desk customer service was absolutely brilliant. THANKS to Eric the man is a legend. Good staff everywhere. Room was little hot but that was the weather we were having. ROOM was excellent Breakfast and a swim in the pool to it off .Thank-you one and all
At ten minutes walking distance from Athlone town centre and the train station, we got a full-sized 2-bedroom 1.5 bathroom appartment with all ameneties and well-equipped kitchen, all much bigger than we've had before when booking a self-catering appartment. We only stayed one night, so it was a pity we couldn't really enjoy it completely; this would be an ideal starting place if you want to explore this part of Ireland for several days.
Nice hotel property with lovely grounds. When we booked we left a note that we were celebrating our 51st wedding anniversary on this vacation. We found a card in our room with a box of chocolates that really made our day. We ate dinner at the hotel's bistro, and were blown away by the five-star taste, presentation and nice portions. Great full Irish breakfast. Highly recommended!
Location is convenient for whether you use public or private transportation.
Cooked breakfast could be better but just my opinion.
Wonderful selection otherwise with plenty of other options and service professional by irish standards (formal).
Best beds in ireland.
Friendly staff.
Excellent housekeeping and friendly staff. Both check in and check out were swift with no problems. Hotel is central to Athlone, entrance located just outside Athlone town shopping centre. The room was spotlessly clean as well as the bathroom, and the bed was incredibly comfortable.
The location is excellent for water sports and relaxation. About 7 minutes from Athlone Town and lots of parking available. The staff although very young, strive to make you feel welcome and nothing was too much trouble for any of them they are the hotels biggest asset.
So clean and quiet. Stayed for a wedding in Athlone. Taxi was about 14euro each way and we had no problems getting one in and out.
Comfy rooms with bice spacious ensuites. Grounds are fantastic. Exceptional value for money compared to the hotels in the town 10/10
The hotel is located right in the center of the town and within walking distance to many things. The breakfast (food, staff and room) is excellent. The only disappointment is that there is no fridge or microwave in what is supposed to be a suite.
Stayed at the hotel and ate at the restaurant in early October 2022. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Room was very affordable and comfortable with a great central location in Athlone. Restaurant had pub style food and delicious cocktails.
The hotel was absolutely stunning. The bar, restaurant, pool and hot tubs were perfect. The room was huge and extremely comfortable. Couldn't hear a thing from the halls. The quality of food we had all weekend was great.
The Staff were lovely and very helpful from start to finish. Its a beautiful hotel very clean, fantastic location for shopping, there is lovely spa facilities in the hotel would highly highly recommend for a stay in Athlone
Property is perfect for a family stay in the Athlone area - having a washer and dryer is a plus. Host was great and responded quickly. Also provided dinner/restaurant suggestions.
The only good things about this place were the staff were very friendly and it was a great location. We were able to walk all around Athlone and see everything we wanted to see.
Fantastic stay all around. Linda and Mark treated us like family. Breakfast was delicious. Next time we are Ireland, we will look them up for another stay
