The aim was to see as much of the Hluhluwe Game Reserve as possible. Using Booking.com we were able to have two full days in the Reserve. We saw many animals including Cheetah/ elephants /Rhino / Buffalo/ Zebra /warthog and a variety of buck. The area is well known for its sweet pineapples which are readily available on the roadside. Suggestion: book secure accomodation and bring mosquito repellent

Hluhluwe Bush Camp does not live up to it's name.

Hluhluwe Bush Camp does not live up to it's name. It's not camping but GLAMPING, with modern anemities without taking away from the ;bush camp experience. Peace & quiet in abundance. Day visit to the Hluhluwe Game Reserve did not disappoint. Beautiful animal viewings.

    Amazing park!!!

Amazing park!!! A pity we didn’t get to see any of the cats but it was still an amazing experience. We did a self drive and the roads were manageable with the Toyota urban cruiser so not necessary a 4x4. However we went in the dry season so be careful if you go during the wet season as I think a 4x4 would be needed. Amazon place where I would love to go back. Memorial gate- cash only. Nyalazi gate - cash or card. R5 for the maps.

We enjoyed our stay at Anew Hluhluwe, the facilities were great, the buffet was really good with a variety of options and friendly staff. I loved the Zulu dancing entertainment, it was a great vibe in the evenings. The front desk staff were pleasant and it was very convenient to book the safaris at the hotel. We had an incredible guide, Israel who took us on a morning safari, he was so knowledgable and we saw 4/5 Big 5. My disappointment was that I booked to spend my birthday at this hotel and I stated on my booking that I would like something special done for the evening at dinner, I reminded the staff at check-in and the dinner staff the day before, yet my bday was not acknowledged the next day at dinner. I was extremely disappointed as this is where I chose to spend my birthday with a short vacay. I did make the front desk staff and manager aware of this on check out.

Very friendly and helpful assistant manager (Ktane? not sure of the spelling of his name). Comfortable bed. Good hot water and pressure in the shower. The kitchenette is equipped to do some simple meal preparation (refrigerator/freezer, microwave, hot water kettle, and toaster oven/stovetop burner combo). Good, quiet air conditioning unit. Parking available in front of our unit. Gated property felt safe and secure. SPAR supermarket within walking distance. Good location for visiting the Hluhluwe-Imfolozi Park via the eastern gate.

AMAZING! We stayed at Hluhluwe Bush Camp on two different nights, and both were INCREDIBLE. The staff are extremely friendly, very accommodating and the atmosphere is very homey, comfortable and clean. The tents are very tranquil and have everything to offer. Spectacular experience. We were breathless from the whole experience. We loved every moment and will be back again! The towel features were just a delight. The small touches go a long way.

There is a narrow dirt-road to climb to get to the place, but then you are over a hill in a slightly wild place but with a view on a portion of the Hluhluwe-iMfolozi Park: with some luck, you can already spot animals! It is at no more than 5 minutes from the HluHluwe gate of the park, perfect for an early drive! The host was extremely kind and helped us with all our needs!

The food at Hluhluwe river lodge was out of this world!! Breakfast and supper was first class. My wife and I went on honey moon and we were blown away. They accommodated us with everything we needed. Very considerate as they even helped us arrange game drives and activities in St Lucia. Amazingly friendly staff!!
