Great location on the river with easy access to restaurants and the old town. Room was spacious, comfortable and quiet. The staff were very welcoming, very helpful and informative about restaurants and where to go in the town

Auxerre is a pretty little town, and this b&b is tucked away near the centre. It is a charming old house, now converted into a comfortable home and b&b. Parking (safe) is just two minutes away. The welcome is very warm and the rooms are immaculate and comfortable within the limitations imposed by an elderly house (eg in our room there was no wardrobe - not a big deal on an overnight stay). Breakfast was good in the French style and included delicious home made jams! Would we stay again - absolutely!

Nice historical town at the river Yonne and Canal de Nivernais. Old city center much bigger than expected. We were positively surprised that obviously the city council seems to be interested to keep pedestrian places clean - which is not always the standard in France in cities of this size.
There was a great open-air art-exhibition (July 2023) at the river bank of the Yonne.
Would come back again to visit museums and some nicely located restaurants.

Auxerre the capital of Yonne department and fourth largest...
Auxerre the capital of Yonne department and fourth largest Burgundian city lying on the banks of river Yonne 150 km South West Paris and 120 km North West Dijon. Auxerre was a flourishing Gallo-Roman centre named Autissiodorum in the first century AD and in the third century became episcopal chair, bishopric the provincial capital of the Roman Empire, receiving a cathedral in the fifth when the city walls were built by the feudal lords/counts of Burgundy. Renowned for vine cultivation and production of fine Burgundian wines including Chablis, in 1995 Auxerre was named Town of Art and History indeed evident in this medieval city with its myriad of half-timbered buildings enshrouded with French Renaissances residences.
The perfect place to stay is the Clos St Eusebe apartment within the WineMakers House in the heart of the city to explore the places of interest:
Cathedral of St Elieme (Gothic)
Abbey Saint Germain (Housing Bishops of Auxerre Tomb)
Tour de l'Horloge d'Auxerre (Clock Tower)
St Pierre en Vallee Church (Local wine growers financed)
Church of St Eusebe (Romanesque)

We loved this accommodation and this town so much we stayed an extra night. Cute exposed timber houses and so many cathedrals make this small walking town a fun place to explore. The St Germain Abbey has super old frescos and contemporary art as well. Follow the trail of Cadel Russell to see everything there is to see in this beautiful fairytale town. Stop at the Horological Tower. Make sure to get baked goods at Eric Roy. Picnic on the Yonne river. Off the beaten path, yet so close to Paris.

An interesting and friendly small city with good food, wine...
An interesting and friendly small city with good food, wine and lovely countryside close by. I would say there is enough to see and do for a stay of around 1.5 to 2 days but on the recommendation of the hotel staff and some French guests, I hired a bike on my third day and cycled 30 miles along the Canal de Nivernais and back. The city itself has some very striking architecture and plenty of restaurants and bars. The crypt below the Cathedral and the frescoes in L'Abbaye de St Germain are the main sights but it's also a good place just to amble around.
Lovely room overlooking the river - however, I THINK Auxerre must have been playing football on Friday night as up until arouind 2.30am there were motorbikes roaring past, cars hooting their horns and a lot of crashing doors and people talking and laughing even in the hotel. Our friend with a room at the back slept like a log, though, so there are disadvantages to being at the front - and the windows are double glazed and were shut! Perfect location and really lovely staff, from the housekeeping staff right through to reception and management.
Really delivered as a 3 star hotel. Awesome location, very easy walking into town, safe location. Fantastic off street, garaged parking with great security (roller door locked at night), big car park spaces. Staff very friendly and helpful. Great outdoor seating areas (front and back) for patrons. Comfy rooms, with comfy bed, very clean. Bathroom basic (as you would expect), shower was very good pressure. No breakfast included but available for 13 Euros. Dog friendly.
The apartment was wonderful. Right in the middle of the historic town of Auxerre but very quiet. Excellent, extremely clean facilities of a very high standard. An easy walk from the train station of about 20 minutes although also easy to get lost. Certainly one of the best Apts we have stayed in and highly recommended. Also having a detailed folder of info about Auxerre was most useful. The tourist information centre was nearby and also the Nonoprix supermarket. Thank-you.
Amazing opportunity to stay in 17th century manor house. Situated right in the old town centre you may think you are in the country when you are in the house or garden. Beautiful historic building and furniture. Touring parts of the house with our host and hearing about its history was just as good as touring the abbey. Thank you Alexandre! We always wondered what lay behind some of those huge walls and gates in the old towns.
The room was lovely……Location was perfect, but more than anything was the extraordinary staff! I have a special thank you thank you message for AGATHE.
my grandson and I chose to stay at this hotel in this time, particularly to see a football game and she went to extraordinary means to get us the best possible tickets and she did it with both patience and grace!
Very close to the centre of town and we were able to walk everywhere from the hotel. The hotel exuded a warm friendly family atmosphere and Jerome went out of his way to welcome us and make us feel at home. Highly recommended. You come away from this hotel with a smile on your face and a warm feeling inside.
Great place to stay while exploring Auxerre. Le Relais des Saints Peres is located at the heart of the city. The host, Jerome, is very friendly and welcoming. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The breakfast is good as well. The parking is nearby and free overnight.
Beautifully clean and practical accommodation. Great that there were cooking facilities, but hadn't appreciated this in advance, so hadn't brought any provisions and in rural France on a Sunday evening there's very little opertunity to shop.
Cedric was so helpful and interesting to talk to. I would definitely stay here again on a return trip to Auxerre. Tip… lots of restaurants and shops are closed on Mondays. The apartment was stylish and well equiped.
Great breakfast and perfect location in Auxerre city center. Wonderful hosts. Beautifully renovated home. Rooms and beds very comfortable. Bathroom updated and user friendly. Auxerre itself is a hidden gem.
Clean and well-equipped apartment. Situated in a quiet residential area yet only 10 mins walk from the centre of Auxerre. We stayed just one night as a stopover, but would highly recommend for longer.
Location and good parking included
Comfortable, good size room ( junior suite) with large bathroom.
The owners who run the hotel are very friendly, accommodating and provided a great breakfast
It was on our way to the south of France and we only had a sleepover there. For that reason it was ok. It was easy to find in a quiet industrial area. Check-in was smooth.
