The staff was amazing allway had a smile of the face's, we had my dog with us every thing was great dog friendly, and on first night he had a spa so relaxed for are walks and after my toffee sticky pudding with custard you need a good walk

Our stay at this hotel was nothing short of perfection! Nestled near the village amidst stunning grounds by the river, the location couldn't have been better. We enjoyed fantastic walks, including a breathtaking gorge just 10 minutes away.
The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, making us feel right at home. Our room was comfortable, with a lovely bed and bath.
But what truly impressed us was the dining experience. Both breakfast and dinner were superb, with dinner reaching Michelin quality standards.
Overall, an unforgettable stay. Perfect location, impeccable service, comfortable rooms, and outstanding dining options. We can't wait to return!

This hotel is a local hidden gem in Snowdonia, I would fully recommend visiting when in the local area. Mike and Carrie are superb hosts, fully accommodating and their journey is amazing. The Gorge down the river is truly magical and worth the walk. Highly recommend staying here. Staff were very helpful - we had to check-in to our room late and they were very accommodating in arranging this for us. The room was ideal for our needs - 4 of us. Bathrooms were shared - these were lovely, very modern. There was also a sink in our room. Bedsheets/linen provided. The place was very clean. There was a shared kitchen and lounge area, which was very comfy, with a variety of games and books. Ample, free, parking on the property. Great old-fashioned atmosphere throughout the place, from pub to restaurant, staircase and room. Old-fashioned in a good way! Breakfast was nice, especially to be offered on option between light (fruit, pastry) and full English. The restaurant is a good option to have when you don't feel like going anywhere.

The owners were always on hand for everything and made us feel very welcome. We will be back! We were there during a storm which caused a powercut for the whole area, and we were offered extra wood for the stove, food, drinks, blankets, etc, and kept updated with what was happening.
