Despite being fortunate enough to be offered an upgrade on my room, the new room was not strictly a double. It ought to have been a single, then a wardrobe and a chair would have fitted. It seemed odd to hang my clothes in a window, and have nowhere comfortable to sit to watch tv in the evening. Also the bathroom did not function very efficiently. The 'baby's bath' hand basin is impossible to use as one can get no usable depth of water, then you knock yourself out on the tap device sticking right out. I have no idea how that design ever went into production! As for the shower I needed a hand book to get water to run, mix a correct temperature and went down to reception, just in my robe, to get someone to turn it off!! There seemed to be some lights above the handbasin, but I failed to find anything that would turn them on. Going to the toilet in the night I nearly died of shock when my bare feet hit the floor tiles - I'd never experienced anything so COLD! Thank goodness breakfast was as good as I remembered. However, as the property changed hands during my stay, I would have appreciated hearing that news before I went, rather than hearing it from one of my guides. The staff were all very efficient and kind.

I loved the colour of the outside of the house on arrival! It was pink and looked like a Barbie dream house and made me excited to enter. When we entered, we were greeted by a really lovely woman who gave us all the information we needed and showed us to our room.
The room was perfect; a nice girly theme. I wanted that to be my room forever! Everything in the room worked awesomely. The shampoo and conditioner smelt great, the hair dryer worked well and there was lots of mirrors, which is always a bonus!
The woman of the house went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable and happy.
Beautiful breakfast served.
The location was ideally situated.

I was there for work so only for one night, but I will go back for a short break. The area is colourful and again I was lucky with the weather, the sun was shining and there were paddle boarders out in the water and kids on the small beach. The people are very friendly and make you feel very welcome. The local produce is fantastic so make sure you try some of the smaller cafes and stores for bread, pastries etc. There is quite a few restaurants so again try them.

As it was out of season, it was delightful, wouldn't want to go during high season, roads are very narrow, although there are plenty of passing places, which some visitors seem to ignore. Lovely island with amazing wildlife, worth a visit.

So much to do, visiting Tobermory Cheese Farm on Friday afternoon, Tobermoray Beach and Aros Park one day and Calgary Beach the next. Then Monday am an hour boat trip to learn about the local wildlife and history, followed by learning about whales in the Hebridean Whale and Dolphin Trust shop where really knowledgeable helpers chatted about all things bones, teeth, shared books and showed lovely interest in our kids' interests. Going at Easter was perfect as it wasn't too busy and we were very lucky with the weather. Great base to explore Mull. I found driving around the island takes a lot of concentration!

Nice little town, mostly closed in January when we were there but that's to be expected in a holiday destination given the location and time of year. We went for the walks and scenery (both great) not shopping!

A beautiful gem of a town.
A beautiful gem of a town. The high street has a small but excellent volunteer run museum which is definitely worth visiting. The Tobermory Distillery tour was also fun and informative with a nice dram at the end.
Excellent fresh decor and cleanliness. Well equipped kitchen with washing machine. Comfortable large double bed and decent sofa bed with good bedding. Decent washroom with good shower and plenty of towels.
Great location - short level walk to shops, pubs, restaurants, takeaways and Tobermory ferry terminal (this easy access to Kilchoan, Ardnamurchan).
A good comfortable base with decent road connections from which to explore the more remote and less well equipped parts of Mull.
Arle Lodge was a great stay for our visit of the Isle of Mull. Its central location between Tobermory and Salen shortened distances to the main spots on the island. Its facilities are simple and functional. Everything being clean this was perfect for us. Also regarding the relatively very low costs, it was very good. The shared living room is a great space to hang out and meet other visitors.
A newly opened guest house, and what a brilliant place. John and Robert were really welcoming and the house was beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. Loads of advice on what to do on Mull and where to eat in Tobermory. We had a beautiful room with great sea views and the breakfast was excellent too. We were sad to leave however we had a really memorable time here.
We had a wonderful stay at Kirk Cottage! Alison is such a lovely host & made us feel so comfortable. Kirk Cottage is in a perfect location, walking distance to everything in Tobermory. Alison made a delicious breakfast for us each morning. We will definitely recommend Alison’s pretty home to everyone. Thank you for making us feel at home & for the fun conversations!
Lovely warm welcome on arrival, especially when I said also work in hotels. Sadly I wasn't staying in for dinner but the menu looked really nice. Breakfast was available nice and early, though I did feel a little guilty for them having to be ready early just for me! It was greatly appreciated though, so thank you to the morning shift :)
The room was very clean and comfortable. The position of the hotel is really good and although up the hill everything was doable. Parking was also a bonus.
Beautiful views from the restaurant. Breakfast was excellent and had dairy free options available -even soya milk in your room.
We would stay here again if we went back to Mull.
Great stop over in Tobermory after a days walking on Mull. Great kitchen facilities and large light filled dining kitchen room with views of the harbour. Co-op a few door down meant feeding the family was easy. Rooms cool in the evening despite being at the top of the building.
we have stayed in this apartment on a few occasions, the location is amazing the hosts ensure the the apartment is spotlessly clean, could not fault this as a place to stay in Mull, will always book this apartment for our future stays 10 out of 10 all round
Well-placed near the centre of Tobermory.
Comfortable and cosy.
Great beds and good facilities throughout.
Lynn is a very friendly host who caters for everything, and if needed offers good advice on all aspects of the area and more generally about Mull
Fantastic location. Very traditional hotel with lots of character. Room was very ‘cosy’ but only stayed for one night. Overall enjoyed our stay. Quite expensive for what it was but I guess that’s due to the limited amount of accommodation in Tobermory.
The breakfast was amazing, John carefully sourced out the very best of local farm fare. The B&B was within an easy walk of all the town had to offer. The room and en-suite were like being at home but better because we were on an island in Scotland.
I was traveling on the fly, it was available and reasonably priced. The shower pressure was and warmth was therapeutic! Felt welcome, nice breakfast, relaxing place to spend a couple of days in Tobermory and explore the island!
The house and its location are without comparison. Richard, the owner, answered all of our many questions quickly and gave us a ride to the ferry landing to recover our car. It is the jewel of Tobermory.
Very comfortable room. Warm & cosy in October.
Very friendly hosts, great location for exploring Tobermory & Isle of Mull.
Delicious breakfast with a lot of choice.
Parking on street outside.
Splendid location on Mull, near Tobermory but not too close. Great kitchen facilities, equipped well and spacious. The farm setting is charming and engaging; great views.
the garden and views from window of hotel room, proximity to town. Steep but short walk into the village. Good breakfast with options other than Scottish breakfast.
