Enjoy the relaxed atmosphere, great food and wine, and an amazing location on the Isle of Mull, overlooking Tobermory Bay. Some rooms have wonderful sea views. Beautiful hotel on the cliff top of Tobermory, staff were excellent. Rooms were old fashioned with a modern bathroom but very clean, and comfortable. We booked dinner and it was perfect. Breakfast was very good and quick in morning. We walked to Mishnish bar (4 mins!) and had a few drinks there, nice old fashioned bar on the harbour. we left on early ferry next day to Kilchoan - make sure to get in the queue early !.

Situated in the rural area of Arle on the Isle of Mull, Arle Farmhouse is a self-catering holiday cottage with sea views of the Sound of Mull.
The Tobermory distillery warehouse tour was excellent - Diana looked after us superbly. Tobermory golf course is an absolute gem with stunning views and a highly challenging course - great value too. Aros park and falls is also well worth a visit.
Tobermory is beautiful (in the right weather) and a perfect place to explore the Isle of Mull from. There are lots of places to eat (you need to book on line ) although most are quite pricey? If you are a nature lover there are otters on the island, seals to see, golden eagles and white tailed sea eagles nest. Deer can be seen and there are boat trips to see dolphins and whales. I saw dolphins in the harbour. There is history , especially on Iona. Look at the ferry routes to see if you can use Tobermory as place to visit other islands from.
We were only there a short while, so don't feel I can do a fair review, but what we did experience was a pretty harbour and a wonderful meal at MacGochan's. A pleasant stay at Glenelg B&B. If we had more time, one of the boat trips offered to see the whales, dolphins and seals would have been amazing and a trip around the distillery. Would definitely visit again.
The bay trip was great, we used Tobermory Bay tours and not Staffa. Plenty of walking but also a good place to use as a base to drive elsewhere on the island. Tobermory Distillery Warehouse visit is a must!!! Eat at the Mishnish, the seafood and crispy pork belly are amazing.
If I'd booked earlier I would have gone for a private en-suite room. Being disabled the top floor of youth hostel and shared facilities did not suit me. There is loads to do on Mull and Tobermory is a very good base with plenty going on in the day and various food options of an evening, I'd recommend booking evening meals in advance and try the seafood platter at the Mishnish. 2 ATM's as cash only at some venues like Cafe Fish. Well stocked Co-op shop and lots sof tourist gift shops. Give yourself a day to drop in on all activities and present shopping. Also if get a chance go to Staffa and see the Puffins you won't be disappointed. If you like walking check out Aros Park and trail to Lighthouse.
A lovely town.Very pretty coloured houses. Some nice gift shops. Not a vast choice of restaurants but the Fish Cafe was really nice..Ice cream kiosk on the front was excellent. Very steep hill up to our hotel from the water front Some short pleasant walks on paths on the Loch side. Enjoyable boat trips from the harbour.
Room was large, with separate shower room and hall outwith bedroom. View was of the main street and harbour of Tobermory. Breakfasts were well cooked and presented. With a good selection of meals. We dined in the restaurant all nights. Menu, though fixed had an extensive choice to suit most. Food was well cooked and presented. Staff were attentive, but not intrusive. Facilities on site were good with a roaring fire in the entrance foyer. Covid19 friendly. All staff wore masks in public areas, and at all times in the restaurant.
Tobermory
Where to start, a 9 day trip, Glengorm was the best! Welcoming staff, breathtaking views, most beautiful castle in Scotland. only stayed one night , of several booked in other castles, my mistake, should have stayed longer! Had the tower suites, truly unbelievable , enough room for a village, exceeded all expectations, Grounds and Castle were post card perfect, clean, secure, and simply Beautiful. Would Highly Recommend to anyone with plans to visit Isle of Mull.
Tobermory
location ideal for tobermory and for exploring island .we had four generations aging from 5 to 82 staying, the cottage provided every requirement for all and we would have no hesitation in coming back to cottage if we holiday in mull again.we rent cottages every year on different scottish islands and can state gardeners cottage has been the best we have stayed in.
Tobermory
The cottage is just off the main road from the ferry to Tobermory but as Mull is quite remote, there was not much traffic about. The view over the Sound of Mull was very impressive and had it been warmer we could have sat out and enjoyed it more. Electric heaters warmed the cottage up very quickly.
Tobermory
This was our best stay during our trip to Scotland. It is a beautiful and comfortable appartment with a great view of the tobermory harbour. The kitchen is large and equipped with everything you could need and the host provides you with some little goodies like milk and wine to welcome you.
