I arrived at the accommodation on foot. Although I felt tired before reaching my destination, the next morning, seeing the scenery outside the window, my mood became particularly pleasant. It made me feel that the effort of climbing up to the accommodation yesterday was truly worth it.
After checking out, I realized that I had left my wallet in the room. I called the staff, and they were very kind to allow me to look for my wallet. Moreover, the cleaning staff helped me find the lost wallet. I'm really grateful to them.

Bouillon is a small town with a lot of vacant stores and houses. The small centre has a limited number of restaurants and drinking establishments. The higher parts of the town are dominated by hotels, and of course the famous fort. Of course, the fort is the highlight of the town and a great location to visit for a day or two, including a fun birds of prey show.

Great city in a great historic environment.
Great city in a great historic environment. Magnificent castle, woods and river.
But city infrastructure needs improvement badly.
Some things give impression that local municipality does not care at all.

Nice town, although many restaurants, shops and bars didnt appear to open every day, so difficult to plan a visit to a recommended restaurant , only to find it closed when you visit. Didnt expect it to be closed on a friday night for example

A town that I suspect has seen its glory a couple of decades ago. Yet still full of lovely brasseries and tea rooms and shops and of course bieres ! Walking along and sitting with a view of the river is an experience I want to repeat. These Belgian towns by the river, like Dinant and Bouillon are just what my sould needs.

Nothing was open as per their schedules on brochures, signs and on-line. All the sights now have a communal ticket, but only one facility was open in the time we were there, and even that one waited until after we had paid to tell us they closed in an hour. Also (not the facility's fault, but they had apparently approved it ...), there was a musician on the site filming a music video who berated us for walking through the shot, even though we had no way of knowing that filming was ongoing - also asked us to wait to continue our tour, in spite of the fact that we had been told by the admission agent to hurry. Missed the bird show, which we weren't expecting to see because the website said it wasn't even taking place due to Corona. Altogether a waste of money . a disappointment that we couldn't see anything we paid for.
Bouillon is a beautiful place and the apartment is in the perfect location. After paying all the fees and receiving a confirmed reservation The problems started, I received a request for 25 euros for towels and another 25 euros for sheets. When we arrived she wanted 150 euros for a security deposit in cash. We were even told if we needed more toilet paper there would be an extra charge. With all the added expenses after confirmed reservation I can not recommend staying at Rate Rive Gauche Sur Semois.
The hotel is at a great location next to the river and under the Bouillon castle. It seems that it's a family business and I liked that. Everyone was very polite and helpful. The rooms was clean, a bit small, but they met our expectations. We could also see the castle by our window! It was beautiful at night! The breakfast was rich, tasty and homemade. Unfortunately we could stay only for one day, but I totally recommend it and I hope to have the chance to visit it again!
The room is clean, cosy and user-friendly. The location is great, two minutes walk to the center. The view of the town and the castle from the deck while having the breakfast is fabulous. Home-made butter and various jams also show the deep caring from Henry and Valery to travellers who stay in their property.
Located right by the river and in the heart of Bouillon, this hotel is in a perfect position to cater for a city trip. We were lucky enough to stay in a superbly renovated room. Great walk-in shower and a very comfortable bed. Nothing to fault the room at! Sufficient (free) public parking nearby too.
The room with the river view was stunning. The very old building is well kept and clean. The staff were very charming and helpful. Had dinner in the hotel. The food was delicious, pricey but you are eating in a hotel so to be expected. If I went back to Bouillon I would start there again.
The owner is very kind and friendly. The house has a gorgeous view on the balcony facing hills and La Semois. The house is clean and warm. To visit the Bouillon city, only 15min drive. There are several groceries near by, also 10min drive.
The location, the facility, the view.. We missed nothing there. Perfect place to visit Bouillon and neighborhood. Easy parking. Close to restaurants. The kitchen is equipped for group of 6-7 persons. We really enjoyed our stay there.
Very attractive old house, beautifully renovated, in the amazing Ardennes. Also very close to Bouillon and its famous castle. The owners were very friendly and helpful, even offering to look after our dog while we went kayaking.
Location was great,.host communications were good until we arrived and then became slow. House has a lovely stove and all the things you need apart from bed linen due to "law" in Belgium
Staff was very welcoming, friendly and helpful.
Restaurant and bar offered a nice, regional selection of food and beer.
Bouillon is such a quaint town with historic significance.
Very clean and cosy room. Friendly receptionist.
Great view from the balcony to the castle.
Good breakfast. Parking for free.
We were very satisfied with our choice of hôtel.
Cosy place with a lot of amenities, decorated with taste, great location in Bouillon and… exceptional host! The fire was cracking in the fireplace on our arrival
