It has become my new favorite place! Worth spending an entire day or even two if you wish to relax in nature and soak in the amazing nature. Well preserved European town with old rustic stone alleys and medieval architecture. The town has a serene vibe and a very picturesque canal passing through the town making it even more beautiful. The locals were kind and welcoming which sets it apart and made the trip even more memorable. Would highly recommend! I would even skip Ghent if I am short on time but Bruges is worth the time.

Bruges is a wonderful city.
Bruges is a wonderful city. We always walk around the city and one of our favourite places to just sit and watch the world go by is a window seat in the tasting room of the The Bruges Beer Experience (Bruges Beer Museum).
It is easy to get around, you can either walk everywhere or hire a bike to get around. If you'd prefer, you can use the regular buses to get around too.
We found some lovely places to eat there, where the food was delicious. A special mention has to go to Mama Luca and L'estaminet.

Stunning architecture and so many activities and places to visit. Busy bars and shops and quiet and tranquil parks and green spaces means you can always find a place to enjoy.
Lot of good places to eat and drink and the concert hall is highly recommended. Walking and Uber suited us perfectly.
Absolutely wonderful historical area. Amazing architecture. Everything is clean and well maintained and preserved. People are friendly and welcoming in spite of being overwhelmed at times with the volume of visitors. Try to avoid Friday through Sunday if possible due to the very heavy tourist traffic at this time. Prices reflect its popularity. Would visit again in the future.

A beautiful historic city with stunning architecture, a variety of building facades, and a calm canal.
It's certainly worth a visit but you'd only need a couple days to explore most of it.
Stay in the city center so you can walk to everything you need and make sure to take one of the many 30-minute canal tours to get a bit more insights into what you're seeing on land.

Such a lovely little town.
Such a lovely little town. I felt like I was on the set of a fairy tale film all the time. Bit pricey but that seems to be true of most of Europe these days. Avoid restaurants in the main tourist areas, those on the quieter streets are much better quality.
Great place us you like exploring on foot.

Lovely cosy hotel, right on the canal and just a few minutes walk from the centre of Bruges. I paid for the small single room which was excellent for the price. Nice comfy double bed, modern bathroom and very clean. Friendly and helpful reception staff. I would definitely stay here again. For any vegans staying here, there is the Blackbird vegan cafe that do lovely breakfasts and lunches, is just a minutes walk.
The location is great, walking distance from great restaurants and the old city centre...The hotel is a bit old, carpet was dirty and outdated but the room size was good for a family of 4. They were the only ones allowing pets in Bruges, so it was super helpful to us. They even laid out food bowls and a bed for our puppy, really nice. Staff were very helpful and polite. A good, solid choice.
This city centre hotel was ideal for our overnight stay in Bruges. We were provided with secure garage parking for our bikes a few minutes walk from the hotel. Rooms were comfortable and we enjoyed a good breakfast before continuing our cycling tour
Absolutely beautiful hotel, impeccably decorated. The staff were great, and the hotel is located so close to the city centre whilst still being quiet. I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Bruges.
