casa vanella felt like home! wonderful hikes right from the door. we ate a wonderful home cooked meal one night and breakfast was lavish. our hosts were delightful, did our laundry, and were helpful about trails. we did not realize we needed to pay extras in cash but our host trusted us to go to a nearby ATM and return. it was a pleasure to dine family style and converse with French and German guests.

One of the most memorable stays ever ! fell in love with the Auberge and it’s owners (and their wicked sense of humor) immediately. Everyone went above and beyond when I did a bit of a boo boo and forgot to schedule a medical appointment for a sports certificate. Soon this was taken care off by the Auberge for me and literally saved me. The biggest complain I would hear from fellow hikers was that they failed to book enough time to enjoy this slice of heaven. The most special place and I can’t wait to return!

The lady in charge was charming. so helpful and kind. The hotel is a short walk out of Calacuccia and in keeping with its surroundings, was a haven of tranquility with a comfortable clean room and a delightful breakfast conservatory.
Charming hotel in a fantastic area. Our room, which was to the backside, was very clean and quiet. Breakfast was outstanding and we could even charge our e-bikes.
