FAQs about hotels in Rust
On average, 3-star hotels in Rust cost $166 per night, and 4-star hotels in Rust are $181 per night. If you're looking for something really special, a 5-star hotel in Rust can be found for $148 per night, on average (based on Booking.com prices).
Set between the Rhine River and the Black Forest, Rust is a small German town that is best known for its huge Europa Park. The largest theme park in Germany, it only comes second behind Disneyland Paris as Europe’s most popular amusement park.
The park’s 16 themed zones contain a variety of high-adrenaline rides as well as attractions for little kids. There are also shows, a 4D cinema and various eating establishments all over the complex.
In addition to the elaborately designed hotels within Europa Park, Booking.com has a fantastic range of Rust accommodations including hotels with outdoor pools, apartments with parking, and cheap guesthouses.
However, this is of course not the only reason to visit. The Baden-Württemberg region has some wonderful cycling routes, and the hills to the east of Rust are also popular for hiking.
The town is located less than an hour drive from the Black Forest spa resort of Baden-Baden and the colorful city of Freiburg. Each route passes by lush vineyards and little towns with half-timbered houses. Historic Strasbourg is over the border with France to the north, while Basel to the south is a lesser-known Swiss gem.

Rust is just for Europa Park visits, and does not offer much for other expectations. But EP is very amazing, especially for families. A 2-day visit was ideal for us, but depending on the kids' ages and joy, a few more days can be worth it. (Also parents have joy, too!)

Rust is a fantastic little town in South West Germany.
Rust is a fantastic little town in South West Germany. Plenty of eateries, bars and bakeries. Europa Park, Germanys biggest, and probably one of the best Theme Parks in the world is on its doorstep, as is Rulantica Water Park.
Good base for Europa/Rulantica and visiting Black Forrest.

The great secret about visiting Europa Park with the family...
The great secret about visiting Europa Park with the family is the adjacent town of Rust. You can either sit in the traffic jam that morning with the entire rest of south western Germany, Switzerland and France, or you can stay the night before with the family, have a leisurely breakfast and then either catch the local bus over or walk, depending on your hotel's location. It's nicer than the Europa Park parking experience, and staying in Rust gives you somewhere to collapse with the family after a long day on the rides. There's hotels with parking, supermarkets for the essentials and cheap family restaurants. It feels like a cheat code few others have found yet for an enjoyable stay.

Rust is geared around Europa Park and Rutlantica.
Rust is geared around Europa Park and Rutlantica. We should have hired a car as unless we were in the parks there was very little to do. The parks are fabulous and great fun, we had a blast in them and will be back. The people of Rust are really friendly, there are plenty of places to eat on a night however nothing is open through the day for food (apart from one kiosk outside the front gates).
Rust is very pretty but quiet.

One half of our group spent 2 days at Europapark but the queues were at least an hour long for each ride, for a ride which was 1’. Saying that though, it was a public holiday on the Thursday. When we drove off on Friday, not a public holiday, the traffic jams coming into Rust from every highway as horrendous….
The other half of us rode our MTBs to Schwarzwald (30’ by bike away), which was amazing with beautiful trails and bakeries along the way to stop at.
We stayed in Saskia's house. This apartment is modern with everything necessary for a pleasant stay. In the kitchen, there are many utensils including a coffee machine, a big fridge, an oven, a dishwasher. The bathroom is very complete, with towels and hair-dryer. The entire apartment has a nice decoration, and it is completely furnished.
A supermarket is at 5 min walk, and conveniently located from Europa Park (15 min). 100% recommended! If we have the opportunity to visit Rust in the future, we would repeat at Sohana Apartments!!
Boland Family are the nicest host we had. They were so welcoming that we did not really want to leave. We already planning for our next holiday with our friends and family at Boland's Apartement.
The appartement is beautifully designed, surrounded by lovely gardens, and, most importantly very clean, with everything you need, within 10 minutes walk . It is also only a short walk away from europa park. I would recommend Boland apartment if you are planning to got to europa park and want to stay away from the busy hotels.
Great breakfast included in the rate. The staff is very nice. They even remembered we don't drink coffee the next day and put hot milk and cocoa on our table for us! The price of the hotel includes free parking at Europa Park and Ruluntica. Room was very large. Bring a fan is you go in the summer it gets hot in there. The eight person room was HUGE! Five minute drive to the theme parks and amazing dinner options. Plenty of parking at the hotel (included in price)
The position in Rust is fine, about 10 minutes walk to Europa park and Supermarket (opposite direction). Cleanliness was good, with exception of a strange smell in the bathroom. There is a small kitchenette with cutlery, plates, cups, glases, cooking and washing up utensils. As well as a kettle, small hob and ancient microwave.
Very good location, 5-7 min on foot from Europa park. We could leave our car on the parking of the hotel during all the stay that was really convenient.
The hotel has its own restaurant so you can have a breakfast or a dinner after spending the day in Europa park.
Very good place to stay in Rust, I recommend.
The apartment is renovated, bathroom and Kitchen facilities are designed better than 4 stars hotels. Very nice place for families, and so calm. Location is close to park, walking distance. Restaurants near by. The owner its very respectful and true gentleman.
Such friendly people are owned the hotel. 3 mins walk to the main Europa Park entries. Wonderful design for the kid's beds. For breakfast, I would like to recommend "Eleven" Cafe. (5 mins by car) Avacado Bread with egg is delicious.
very clean hotel , value for money , helped us even after check out and allowed us to leave our bags before check in , very nice view from the room window swimming pool and terrace, big smart TV , free coffe and water
The hotel is very clean, design of rooms is amazing , A/C is good.
Staff very helpful. Location is good very close to restaurant and supermarket.
The parking is amazing very wide.
The location was perfect, the price was brilliant compared to Europa park hotels, the space was amazing, the fridge really cold, powerful shower, comfy bed, good ventilation.
The hotel is nice , clean , very good breakfast and the transportation to the park by the shuttle is very convenient. The trekronasat Resturant food is amazing.
