Only time I have been here when it was absolutely dead. Very quiet and found out it was out of season :) Many things closed but we enjoyed it.
The slopes were terrible and hence this will be the last time for skiing here but enjoyed pec's as usual and good for family time but better go somewhere skiing where its guaranteed to be snow and also only a little more expensive as found the cost not to be worth the quality here anymore.

Went there to hike and ski.
Went there to hike and ski. There are many different ski resorts and possibilities. However if you are looking for an Alpine experience this is not for you. But if you live nearby and are looking for a couple days of ski experience this is perfect.
Another recommendation: Hike up to Snezka at night to watch the sunrise on top. It is awesome and so refreshing. It is windy up there however. Wear layers! Lot's of layers! I wore 4 pants when I did it early October and was still cold. It was around 0°C then. But none the less. 10/10. Would do again!

Nice place, but warm winters made skiing trip in February rather risky, skiing in rain is not what you really want, and prices in Pec became quite high in recent years, so Austria seems to be a better choice

Very nice little town with nice hiking trails, good restaurants and kind people. My favourite place was Jeremy’s bar with the kindest bartender who played the music that I really liked. He made that day special to me. The bar is located near the ski slopes on the left before you get to the city centre. The only negative is that you need to pay for the parking everywhere (with exception of Jeremy’s bar 😀).

Pec is narrow small valley with a lot of character, a bit busy with all ski buses, snow scooters and cars at the base of the highest Czech mountain. You can hop on the lift and visit the top of Snezka when weather allows, recommended. We experienced some very tasty dinners in many places in the village. Look for the menu and prices because they may vary a big deal. Classic Czech cuisine will not disappoint. Czech mountains are not Alps but they offer now decent infrastructure and services. Pec is just about 2 hours drive from Ruzyne Airport so easy to access.

The location is very bad maintained.
The location is very bad maintained. It is very dangerous and almost impossible to commute through the city by foot as all the pavement is covered with ice and the road is very slippery.
There are several options of rentals and many terrains to choose from, the map is a little confusing but if you research in advance, should not be a problem to orient there.

The staff was friendly, helpful and sweet. 5 stars service
When we mentioned we’d live the hotel at 6 am to start our walk the manager proposed to make us a take away breakfast for the morning. She gave us the hotel front door key, and the next day sandwiches, fruits and snack bars were waiting for us in the lobby. Worth mentioning it was delicious
The restaurant view is outstanding
The chef knows his job well. 3 dinners, all meals were surprisingly good, fresh and well cooked .
We do not like staying at hotel, therefore we decided to stay in those apartments instead. They were spacious and cozy, there was everything we needed. I like the fact there were two separate bedrooms. The kitchen was well equipped and the toilet / bathroom were quite newly renovated. We liked staying in there and were very satisfied. Plus the hotel staff was super nice to us.
We did enjoy the ability to visit hotel swimming pool which we appreciated every day a lot.
Apartment was very clean, comfortable, you can find everything you need, it is like you are in your own place ) Staff is very kind, helpful. Indoor parking is very big value when it is snowing in outside. When you stay at the PECR DEEP for Wellness Centre you have to go to outside as PECR WELL is 100-150 m far from PECR DEEP, but there are 4-5 types of saunas and jacuzzi, very clean and excellent conditions for relaxation.
-great location directly by the ski slope,
- the rooms are clean, refurnished, spacious
- tasty breakfast, gray choice of pastries, pancakes (omelette and scrambled eggs for extra fee)
- the parking place is located near the center of Pec, transport is provided by the hotel staff for extra fee 650 CZK ( 25 EUR) for single ride
- the a’ la carte menu for dinner was fine, good selection of wines
- staff was helpful and nice
We really enjoyed the stay at Horizont hotel. The view from the room was amazing, as a plus was swimming pool which we enjoyed after a hike. The staff was very nice and friendly, they allowed us to check in earlier and check out later which was great as we had some plans already. I will definitely recommend this place to my friends and family, planning of booking your hotel again with my next visit. :)
Thank you Sonia for the great stay and hospitality. This is a brand new and super comfortable building with different flats located just by the main street of Pec Pod Snezkou and stunning panoramic views. The appartment is better than shown in the photos, with a fully equipped kitchen and its utensils. Loved the mountain and all surroundings, full of entertainment for little children.
Breakfast is pretty good, you can also order some type of eggs (included in the price). Location is perfect for skiing (ski-in/ski-out), restaurant is inside the hotel with decent food and not expensive, rooms are clean and warm, good beds and facilities for kids.
Staff was very friendly, location was great, very easy bus to the slopes. Good food options if you don’t want to leave the hotel in the evening. We used the swimming pool and games room (pool and table tennis) every evening, fun way to spend time with teenage son.
The hotel was very lovely with interesting decor all around its interior. Beds were super comfy. You could hear the river floating from the outside which was a very calming experience. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful.
Awesome breakfast, huge number of options. Very nice location and view from the window. There is a small shop next to hotel (always check working ours because of holidays etc...)
