Very traditional inside with nice cosy seating in the older part of the building and light & airy in the modern conservatory. Also a nice beer garden. The bar served a good selection of beers etc and the food was brilliant, all fresh and home cooked with quality ingredients. Our room overlooking the garden was comfortable, clean and spacious with a nice ensuite. After a good night's sleep and a hearty breakfast we left happy

Julie in particular helped us with getting a taxi service for a wedding which was really appreciated. When we left our room key at the wedding venue, the landlord was happy to get us a spare, even though it was 12.45am (luckily he was still up). The full breakfast was of a very high quality. My father said the porridge he had was extremely tasty, creamy with plenty of fruit and plentiful. The grounds were stunning. Great location.JillFamily with young children
