Ideally located in Yokohama, The Kahala Hotel & Resort Yokohama, open from September 2020, offers lavishly-decorated air-conditioned rooms, a restaurant, free WiFi and a bar. Everything was so nice. Staff are very friendly and experienced. We used this hotel for my daughter's birthday and thanks to this hotel, we had a very memorable time.

Set in Hakone’s natural beauty, Gora Kadan is located a 5-minute walk from Gora Station on the Hakone Tozan Line. Guests can leisurely soak in the hot spring bath, relax with a massage treatment. it has swimming pool which is rare for Onsen resort. Everything is excellent if u like traditional Japanese style resort.

Suishoen is located in the Hakone area, 1 km from Kowakudani Station on the Hakone Tozan Train Line. The exceptionally detailed level of service. Staff was extremely helpful and thorough. Location is ideal, stayed in a two floor suite which was perfect. Private onsen was a great perk as well.

Fukuzumiro features an authentic Japanese atmosphere, natural hot spring baths and traditional Japanese-style rooms with garden or river views. It's a 15-minute walk from Hakone Yumoto Station. What an amazing traditional Inn. We only stayed for one night as a little treat but how incredible. The staff are amazing, we had a lady called Minori (apologies if I have got this wrong) who was simply splendid. From the moment you arrive you feel like you're in a Ghibli movie, with 3 scalding hot private onsen to choose from (book when you're there by writing your name in the slot), and 2 gendered onsen which switch at 7pm. We arrived at 4pm and made the most of our bath time, taking one before dinner, one after, and one just before breakfast. The dinner and breakfast was first rate - one of the best experiences of our lives. The service and spectacle alone is worth the extra fee - inform them before arrival you want dinner. Futon beds made out for you were so comfy it was hard to wake up! Overall I could not fault it. We would have loved to stay longer but couldn't really afford it. I would definitely watch a video online about staying at a Ryokan just so there are no confusing aspects to contend with. If you're doing all the Hakone activities in the day like we did it is fantastic, but I would really recommend making the most of your time here and would advise getting here no later than 5pm as dinner is at 6pm.

Set in Kamakura, 1.7 km from Koshigoe Beach, BREATH HOTEL offers accommodation with free bikes, free private parking and a terrace. Beautiful property with wonderful staff! It was very comfortable and clean. Husband and I came for our honeymoon and they made us feel like VIP guests. So wonderful!

THE HIRAMATSU HOTELS & RESORTS SENGOKUHARA HAKONE offers a hot spring bath and free private parking, and is within 16 km of Hakone-Yumoto Station and 42 km of Shuzen-ji Temple. The property was beautiful! I wish I could have stayed longer!
