Open from September 2019, only 150 metres from JR Hakata Train Station, Miyako Hotel Hakata offers stylish rooms with a flat-screen TV and a private bathroom. The service and the facilities were exceptional. I liked the way everything was presented. Decor was well thought out and everything in the room was great. I loved the amenities provided in the room (coffee, tea, etc). All the tableware were also very classy and beautiful. Breakfast was filling and they were willing to accommodate for dietary preferences.

Sheraton Kagoshima has a fitness centre, garden, a terrace and restaurant in Kagoshima. This 5-star hotel offers a business centre and a concierge service. Lovely room with very fine design and plenty of space. The entire hotel was first rate.

Situated in Yufu, 43 km from Oita Bank Dome, 旅館 竹屋 Takeya features accommodation with a terrace, free private parking, a restaurant and a bar. Lovely place about a 10-15 minute walk from the train station. We were there on 2 cold days in March but our room was warm with a heater and electric blankets. Very comfortable beds and an onsen in the room. We had a beautiful view out our window and in nice weather it would be lovely to sit outside but not on this visit. You eat downstairs in a pleasant dining room. The 2 dinners were fabulous and well prepared but we couldn't eat much of the breakfast (it was all Japanese), other guests loved it. But on the second day the cooks made us a delicious breakfast that kept us going all day. The owner is very helpful, he cares a lot about his guests, he's still working on the place and it will be really nice when it's done.

Set in Beppu, 25 km from Oita Bank Dome, GALLERIA MIDOBARU offers accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a restaurant and a bar. Easiest 10/10 I've ever given in my life. Comfortable bed, huge room, great amenities, clean, Chromecast, speaker in the room, staff were absolutely exceptional and went above and beyond in everything they did, the breakfast was incredible (sadly we didn't get to try dinner) and the staff were great at helping us with getting a meal without meat, and most importantly, the view and the bath were truly incredible. Definitely a place we'll be back to.

Located in Chikushino, 500 metres from Buso-ji Temple, Daimaru Besso has a number of amenities including a bar and free WiFi. The food was excellent. Private dining and superb service!

Kannawaen is an entirely non-smoking accommodation that features a garden, terrace and bar in Beppu. 100 metres from Hells of Beppu, the property is also 500 metres away from Jigokumushikobo Kannawa. The indoor and outdoor private onsen.

AMANE resort GAHAMA features a hot spring bath and free private parking, and is within 24 km of Oita Bank Dome and 4.4 km of Beppu Station. Awesome resort and facilities. Room was huge and with 2 floors. Two private onsen for the room, one inside and other outside!

Looking over Hakata Bay and a yacht harbor, Hotel Marinoa Resort Fukuoka features spacious guest rooms with an ocean view, a relaxation spa and a stylish French restaurant. Bright rooms with ocean view. The staff was exceptionally polite and attentive. Breakfast (choice between Western and Japanese style) was served to one's room at one's time of choice, which I found quite convenient. The hotel is situated next to a shopping and outlet mall with restaurants and a food court, and there are direct bus connections to Tenjin and Hakata.

Boasting luxurious guest rooms with open-air hot spring bath overlooking the ocean, AMANE resort SEIKAI is a 7-minute walk from JR Beppu Daigaku Station. The room was huge and the view is awesome. Staff were super helpful and friendly and went all the way to make our stay as comfortable as possible.

Located on the beautiful Yakushima Island, Sankara Hotel & Spa Yakushima offers luxurious accommodations with modern warm-colored interior and free WiFi. Guests can also relax with massages at the... Incredible hotel, one of the best we have ever stayed at. The staff were incredibly kind and accommodating. The food was delicious and the facilities world class.
