My wife and I loved it. Great location, beautiful grounds, very friendly and competent staff, terrific food, and our room was very comfortable with an excellent view of the ocean (with frequent whale sightings). Public spaces were also very relaxing and comfortable. For families with children I could see it being particularly good, as they have ongoing activities for kids. They are also associated with a local surf school, so people who are interested in surfing can easily arrange for board rentals or lessons. Highly recommend.

Located on the foothills of the Southern Drakensberg, Lake Naverone Holiday Cottages is set on large estate with 2 lakes and 7 km of river frontage. The place is amazing.. The location fantastic.. The area great.. We had a good time and took to hiking and visited the great water pools named Three Pools and the Champagne Pool. The Drakensberg mountain views were a great site to see especially in the morning.

Everything was ready when we arrived, the hosts (Tom & Lucinda) were wonderful and accommodating. Wood was provided for the fireplace. Stand-by lights and a gas cooker was provided for when there was load shedding/blackouts. We had an afternoon walk with Tom & Lucinda to see if their cows had calves, spent about 2 hours in the field chatting and getting to know about the history of the farm. The views over the Dargle valley are spectacular.
