To stay on a 'private' island with only the 8 bungalows at Tailana is such a dream and amazing value for money. We ended up staying 7 nights. We got the 2hr speed boat both ways, which we managed to share with other guests (arranged on whatsapp). Average price was 1,600,000 for the two of us. We know other guests who did it with the public ferry and wooden boats. The room and bed were simple but comfy, good mosquito net. Because we extended our stay, we actually stayed in the newer A-Frame room as well as the older white-washed room, and while both were good, we actually preferred the older room as it was easier to stand in (the a-frame is a bit low on the sides of the bed obviously). The food was excellent, 3 delicious meals per day. They catered to vegetarian diet without a problem. Not many mosquitos which was surprising. We snorkelled everyday (you can rent equipment from their small dive shop on the island) and thought it was really beautiful. We saw a lot of coloured fish, some stingray, and one turtle. Definitely worth the big trip to get here, but we'd recommend staying at least 4 nights to make it worthwhile. The bathrooms are simple (European style, but non-flushing... which isn't a problem) The outdoor showers are great and offer enough privacy. Tip: I brought some beers with me and they let me keep them in the fridge :)

Hotel Deli River is located in Medan City, surrounded by tropical greenery and natural landscapes. Overlooking the Sumatran Jungle, it offers free Wi-Fi access. I like this place, it is so beautiful and relaxation. Personal is so friendly. Thx🙏

Grand City Hall Hotel & Serviced Residences is situated in the heart of Medan. It is next door to the Bank Indonesia Complex. Room is clean, staff are polite and friendly. Location is good

We had a widespread of food each morning at the breakfast hall, buffet style catering to western and Indonesia tastes with slight changes in the menu from day to day. The team at the breakfast hall went out of the way to put together double shot lattes with latte art, special menu items and also surprised us with a really delicious Soto Betawi! We arrived on a wednesday night and the resort was relatively quiet but it started to fill up with more guests towards the weekend. Despite so, all the service crew were extremely hospitable and none of them shy away from hosting my family and I, we appreciate the warmth and their efforts to go beyond!

It was great staying in Grandma guest house! If you want to stay in a place with local people and have good memories with them, this is the one! Yusuf and his family are really friendly and they are always available to help you with what you need. I spend also some time with the kids from his foundation (kolibri house) and it was really nice to meet and be with them :) Thank you for all your kindness!

Even dropped me off to the ferry to Telo for free after my stay 👌On way to drop the kids off at school. nice local touch. Really friendly people, passionate about the hospitality and made sure my stay was comfortable. Highly recommend
