Located on the island of Grinda in Stockholm’s archipelago, this guest house is a 90-minute ferry ride to the city’s center. I visited at the end of August, so it was the off season, not so many people. Food (lunch/dinner) and beer was great, service also. Beds comfy. Great trails for walks, good sauna and nice spots for a swim and amazing views. This was my first time visiting here so I was pretty excited about everything. Family owned I assume, old cozy maintained building and facilities. Grinda is a beautiful small island.

It was a sunny day/night with excellent views magic surroundings and can only say I would have liked to stay longer.

Set in Stockholm’s beautiful archipelago, first-class hotel and conference centre Fågelbro Säteri offers a historic setting in Värmdölandet, just a 35 minute drive from the centre of Stockholm. The landscapes, the views of nature and open space, the food was absolutely magical, the service staff were all kind and professional and the room was spacious, clean and cozy. They upgraded us for free because we were celebrating our anniversary.
