Accommodation in Interlaken

The hotel is in a secluded area by the water and it’s lovely and quiet, easy bus route into the towns and to get train transport. During my stay, the staff made me feel welcomed and there is an older gentleman who works in the restaurant area (does nights mostly, well during my stay anyways) has been working there a few years now! He was very lovely and made sure I was accommodated. I do highly recommend the hotel and chatting with the staff :)

Backpackers Villa was honestly one of the best places we’ve stayed at, especially for this price! The location is perfect, and the whole experience kept surprising us in the best way. We arrived early and could store our luggage safely before check-in — and were even invited to enjoy breakfast for free. The staff were incredibly kind, always smiling and ready to help. Our twin room was cozy, with a sink inside and shared showers nearby. The next morning, we woke up to an absolutely stunning view of the Alps right from our window — it took our breath away! Even after check-out, we could leave our things in lockers and have breakfast again. The buffet wasn’t huge, but everything was fresh and tasty. There’s also a guest kitchen, ski room, and a transport card for free rides around Interlaken. For what you pay, it’s simply unbeatable — full of warmth, comfort, and good vibes. 💫

Towels and linen were provided at no extra cost. Lockers inside the room with a key-card lock. The large kitchen and dining facilities to cook and eat. Larger lockers to store larger items were available downstairs, and also available to those who had to check-out early but staying in the area could use the provided lockers. Staff were also very friendly :)

Toilette is very clean. Kitchen complete with utilities where we can eat well.

The location of the hotel is perfect. It is literally steps away from the train. Even with the hotel being by the train station we didn’t hear any noise. The room was clean, comfortable and everything worked perfectly. We had breakfast at the hotel every day, the food area was clean, food was made fresh and was promptly replenished. I personally loved the grilled vegetables. My wife really liked having assortment of cold and hot options. The staff is beyond amazing! We interacted with Eduardo at the front desk, Guido and Anna at the bar lounge. When we checked in Eduardo took the time to share what activities we could do with rain in interlaken, he also shared cameras of different areas nearby and made suggestions. Guido at the lounge is AMAZING!!! He made recommendations based on our time and was very genuine in his interactions. At the end of the day he would ask how everything was. Anna greeted us goodbye even from far away. It was a very personal stay, we are on our honeymoon and will cherish this stay in Essential by Dorint Interlaken West forever thanks to these 3 staff members.

Amazing hotel, amazing service, great location

Perfecto location. Used it as base camp to get to know the whole area around. Perfect service, good breakfast, very nice and helpful staff.

We stayed at Hotel Harder Minerva and had a wonderful experience. Our room was very clean, comfortable, and well maintained. Tanya at the reception was incredibly kind and helpful, offering great recommendations about the city whenever we needed advice. We were also pleasantly surprised by the small thoughtful gifts prepared in our room such a lovely gesture. The breakfast was truly excellent, with a great variety and quality. Considering how expensive it can be to have breakfast outside in Switzerland, this was definitely a big advantage. Overall, we were very satisfied with our stay and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Interlaken.

The place has all the privacy you need, with a separate room and private bathroom, and a spacious shared kitchen. The location couldn’t be better. Walter is super nice and has two small dogs that we absolutely loved! He always made sure the dogs didn’t bother guests, but we actually called them over ourselves to pet them.

The hotel's location is perfect, and the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. The room with a lake view was very nice. I would love to visit again.

Compact apartment that had everything we needed :) Great to have cooking facilities, loved the balcony and view! Parking next to apartments which was free with the pass provided :) Swimming pool and Lake to swim in which were great and close! 5-10min drive into Interlaken, or a Bus (number 60) was hourly through the town! Restaurant on the ‘beach’ and pizzeria in the town!

The staff was amazing. They really put effort into making sure I have a great Valentine’s Day. All very kind and helpful especially Karina who recommended the food, Zyad who gave us a great upgrade and special amenities, Woljech who smiled the whole time and helped with luggage and Rami that checked us in. Great team, great atmosphere.

A truly beautiful and grand hotel with a rich sense of history. The location is wonderful, making it perfect for enjoying the surroundings. The bar is exceptional, offering stunning views along with excellent food. I also loved the variety of restaurants and the beautiful decor in each of them—it adds so much character to the experience. The room was newly renovated, stylish, and very comfortable, with a bed that made it easy to fully relax. The spa is absolutely fantastic and a real highlight of the stay. We enjoyed every single moment at the hotel. A special mention also goes to the house champagne—simply excellent.

Really nice hotel and restaurant with lovely decor. Our room was a decent size with magnificent views from the top floor. Although shared bathroom, they were always clean and available so made the stay comfortable. Staff were always friendly and welcoming. Would recommend!
