We had a fantastic stay at Manuel’s house. It was a pleasure getting to know him and his wife. Manuel was incredibly helpful in guiding us through the next part of our hiking trip and assisted us in arranging our next off-platform accommodation through his contacts. This accommodation turned out to be an excellent choice as well. We were served high-quality local meals for both dinner and breakfast. The room was excellent, and the Wi-Fi was fast and reliable, which was very helpful as I needed to do some work and plan the following days. The breakfast room offers stunning views of the valley. We highly recommend visiting this village and staying with Manuel. A truly memorable stay.

A lovely, calm location, with a spectacular view. It's outside of town so best to rent a car, especially since the taxis insist on an exorbitant 8 euros for such a short distance, using the pretext that the last bit of the drive from the main road to the house is a bumpy, bad road. There are 2 restaurants within walking distance so it isn't necessary to go into town for everything. The bed was comfortable, we liked the hammock and we enjoyed having breakfast on the porch. There is no oven or microwave so in order to cook it needs to be something you can make on the stove top.

Tarrafal is a hidden gem and I made a right decision to stay here. The place has a nice view and a little bit uphill. The host is so nice, hospitable and responsive. Dinner is delicious.
