It is a new hotel and a bit quirky in the decor and in an amazing position a short stroll from the castle the royal mile and restaurants… the staff also were amazing so helpful we had a 5.30am leave and they asked the night before if we would like a coffee to take in the taxi … we did and it was waiting for us

Location to trams, train, buses. Close to Royal Mile and city sites. The unit was immaculate. The stairs to unit a bit tough, but it’s doable. Slept well and very quiet. Was very pleased would recommend and stay again if I am ever back in Edinburgh from North Carolina.

Such a friendly and hospitable establishment. I arrived a few hours early and was welcomed to check in long before the usual check in time. They were full of local knowledge, bus recommendations. The dinner in the pub was superb, breakfast hearty. All in all, a great place to stay. Thankyou!

We had a wonderful stay at the Laird and Dog Inn. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. The atmosphere in the bar and restaurant was great. Will definitely return. Top notch Scottish breakfast! Haggis and tattie scones cooked to perfection 😋

Stayed here while we saw Taylor Swift. The staff were very friendly and made sure we knew where we were going, if we had parking, if we needed anything printed off etc. Breakfast was a bonus as well and was very tasty. Very good for the price. They easily could’ve charged more for the room (everyone else did that weekend) but very grateful they didn’t!

The food was locally sourced, good value for money and delicious. Service excellent. The bed was very comfortable and en suite shower, toilet and basin. The staff very helpful, friendly. The location was stunning. Local transport right outside the Inn. I will definitely stay again as I regularly visit a relative in a care home in nearby Gilmerton, 2 bus journeys away.
