Calm, near historical villages, in the middle of the countryside. great to completely disconnect from urban contexts. pool seems nice too though open during summer only. comfy place also for friends adventuring through Tuscany. nice barbecue/fireplace where you can grill your meat. not far from the hot springs (thermal baths) of Saturnia.

I was free upgraded in Hotel Sovana, which is from the same owner, while the first reservation in Hotel Scila was full. Absolutely fabulous place in historical town, with colorful garden, surrounded with olive trees and wineyards. Breakfast delicious and very reach. Stuff very kind. It is a super point on the top of hills, u can reach nearby must seen Pitigliano, Sorano and enjoy Saturnia termal cascade.

The place is absolutely amazing. Located in the tiny village in the less touristic part of Tuscany, the 11th century fortress offers a truly unique experience. The staff is lovely and the owners are super passionate about what they're doing. I would recommend joining some of the attractions organised by the hotel - we joined for a cellar tour with wine & cheese tasting and it absolutely exceeded our expectations. We had a room with a city view and it was truly unmatched - I would absolutely recommend getting a room with a view as it was one of the biggest highlights of the stay. The room itself was nice, albeit a bit small but this is to be expected considering how old (authentic!) the place is. Breakfast was nice and relatively varied for the Italian standards. To sum up, if you're looking for a romantic getaway or a calm weekend by yourself, please do yourself a favour and book this hotel! You won't regret it!

The room was beautiful and very clean. They have made an excellent job with the rooms. Mrs. Giovana was very friendly and tried to help with questions. Eleonora was very helpful on whatsapp as well. The breakfast was quite nice and the location great for relaxation.

The geographical location of the apartment is key: just minutes walk away from the historical centre and for that reason surrounded by full quiet, day and night, also in a very nice and restful garden. Besides, I could enjoy an efficient and effective Wi-Fi service by correctly teleworking for hours. We will definitely come back!
