Fantastic service from the owner, he took his time to drive us to a different hotel, even though we had missed our check out time with almost a whole day. Such a nice guy! Very clean and modern accommodation aswell!

We really loved our stay at this place. Extremely good value with easy parking (having a car in Hakuba is a real bonus given the number of resorts to choose from and distances around town). Our room was clean, comfortable, warm and with a sink and mirror so we didn't need to go to communal areas to get water or brush our teeth or freshen up. As with many ryokan style places in Japan, the toilets and showers were shared but these were always clean, and easily accessible. The staff were extremely nice, a husband and wife couple who also ran the restaurant on site (Waraku) which served excellent authentic Japanese food at a very reasonable price. This was an added bonus after a long day skiing, to have the option to stay in, and still enjoy delicious food.

Excellent house with very spacious rooms , 2 great bathrooms and just across the road from the ski shuttle up to Escal Plaza.

Amazing couple runs this amazing gem. Super clean, beautiful and delicious homemade breakfast. The best was the private onsen on the property. Definitely would stay here again.

Excellent location, lovely very comfortable property. Host was terrific in providing advice prior to arrival, arranging restaurant reservations and a rental vehicle which all combined made our holiday fabulous.

This accomodation was charming. Beautifully presented and only A short walk from the slopes. We paid for a $5 locker to leave our boards and skis at escal plaza overnight.

It felt like home. Nancy was so welcoming and kind towards all the guests. The place was super clean, and it was just 10mins walk to the nearest ski lift. It was nothing but amazing. Wish we could stay longer.

There’s a cozy wood-burning stove that creates a great atmosphere, and the accommodation is very close to Goryu Ski Resort — you can get there in about a 10-minute walk. A ski shuttle to the resort arrives every 30 minutes at a bus stop just 3 minutes away from the hotel. Since you rent the entire house, it feels much more private and peaceful compared to the busier and noisier main areas, while still being very affordable.

Ski in/ski out, the best! You can have a delicious breakfast for 1800¥. Also, you can buy lift tickets directly from the guesthouse with a nice discount!

Exceptionally friendly and helpful staff especially Ali and Ganesh. Great breakfast and dinner! Comfortable clean,and wide capsules, great onsen shower for the aching body after a day of skiing. Nice lounge with fireplace. Great vibes in general.

This hotel was in the perfect location. Only a couple minutes walking to Goryu resort. The room was comfortable and the staff were incredible.

We loved staying at Tokiwa-Tei and enjoyed the warmest welcome from Keika and and all the staff during our time. Beautiful Japanese and Western breakfasts on offer every morning and amazing proximity to the Escal Plaza bus stop and Hakuba Goryu resort were just a few of many holiday highlights for us in Hakuba. The staff were amazing, super friendly,I watched them handle obnoxious American guest with calm and respect. They treated my Son and I as their guests.

An older but quaint and genuine place to stay and short walk to Goruy Imori. Staff were really lovely young men always open to chat about anything. The food was simple but so tastey. We had very enjoyable experience. Definitely coming back here next year.

Home grown home made delicious food. Definitely do not skip dinner / breakfast. Comfortable Tatami room with a kotatsu and a TV. Baths are amazing, since they are private, you can have a nice bath with your partner.

The staff were incredible, so warm and accommodating. It is an exceptional property with a luxury inside outside onsen which added to experience.

The Hosts were amazing, very nice people and accomodating, even got picked up and dropped to the ski resorts. Food was very nice, and there was a lot of effort out into it, gave me a good taste for the Japanese cuisine. Couldn’t be any happier with my stay. Thankyou

Had an amazing stay at Sneaky Peaks. It's very homely, and the staff were amazing. It had all the facilities we needed for our stay, and the room was really cosy. The location is great as it is very close to Goryu, which makes getting to and from the mountain very easy. (Even easier with the help of their shuttles) There are also multiple bars and restaurants close by. The staff were incredibly helpful and made our trip a breeze. They provided transportation services, gave us general info about the area, as well as recommendations, and answered any questions we had. Would definitely stay here again!

Excellent service, everyone was very friendly and attentive. It wasn't the first time we stayed at the place and we will be back again.
