Accommodation in Shingu

Very traditional business hotel . Have microwave , have vending machine , Aeon , sushi restaurant is next door . Even they prepared some treats for the guest in Valentine’s Day.

I found the hotel very nice and this for a cheap price. I did mistaken the booking date and although free cancaltion was passed i was still allowed to change my date without additional charges

The owner is friendly and the bed is comfortable. The place is near the train station.

Thoughtfully laid out and equipped. The laundry and dehumidifIer meant I could wash my hiking gear overnight and wear it the next day. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. I ordered the steamed dinner (Y2,000 per person at time of writing) and it was a delicious assortment of vegetables, dumplings, and a sausage all steamed and served with rice and sauces. Breakfast was included in the rate and was simple (yoghurt, cereal, orange juice, milk, cereal, bread, cheese, ham, and a couple of jams) but filing and convenient. Oh, and there's a great public onsen two minutes walk away. Highly recommend for a night if you're doing the Kumano Kodo.

Beautiful Guesthouse. Tatami rooms. Super clean. Amazing communication with staff. Great location! Stay an extra night because it was so nice.

The place is fully equipped, thoughtfully offering free sake and beer, with a clean and tidy environment and a pleasant, comfortable atmosphere.The location are excellent; it takes only 30 seconds to get from the Airbnb to the bus stop.

Excellent location. Less than 10 minutes walk to Shingu Station and Lawson. The place is clean and comfortable. You basically have your own private space as there is only one other guest room. The owner was warm, friendly and welcoming. Language barrier isn't a problem thanks to the translation apps. She also runs a small store on the first floor selling manju, unfortunately I didn't get to try as it only opened at 11am.

The traditional Japanese room (our favorite on our trip) is clean and comfortable. Friendly and helpful staff, with excellent local tips (it really helped us organize our visit to the Kumano Firework Festival). Perfect location, just 5 minutes from the train station and downtown Shingu (restaurants and convenience stores are also nearby). Free parking is available on site. Recommended.

The house is clean and cozy. Close to the convenience store and walkable to the JR station. The host is very warm & helpful. Highly recommended for trips to Shingu!
