Dos Amates and the surrounding areas of Las Tuxtlas are absolutely beautiful, but staying at Cabanas Ixaya was the best part. The cabanas are very comfortable and clearly made with love and thoughtfulness. There are fans, great beds, mosquito nets, a fridge in each room and ample space. The kitchen is well equipped with a lovely outlook on the property. It is so quiet, and the views from the cabanas and surrounding streets are of lush forest and mountains.. the online pictures don't do the property justice! The owners, Andres and Blanca, are wonderful, hospitable, kind people who made us so comfortable. This stay was a highlight of our trip to Mexico.

Good location. Quiet, even though we were right close to the market. Room was a good size. Balcony for sitting was comfortable. Short walk to ADO.

We loved the house overall - it was clean, big, with all necessary facilities you'd find in your home. But my favorite part was the garden - it was beautiful and very well maintained. Get yourself some carbon and enjoy a nice bbq in wonderful scenery! Also a big plus for mosquito nets in every single room. And the owner was super kind and helpful

We chose the accommodation because of the swimming pool for our son. It was fine. We also took the opportunity to order food and drink to our room. The location was quiet and pleasant, right by the lake and yet close to the centre. On the last day we were able to leave our luggage stored at the reception until the evening.

It’s s not far from the city, but it’s s beautiful location and the family that ruins it is very accommodating and generous. It’s right on the lake and the view is beautiful
