Excellent place, all the necessary facilities, clean. The inner courtyard is very beautiful, green and full of flowers. The breakfast was great and they serve it to your room. There is a parking place available. The owners are very welcoming and friendly. Couldn't recommend it more.

I fell ill just before I checked in. The staff were concerned and took care of me. The general manager almost literally carried me to my room, checked in on me, then called an ambulance when I showed no sign of improvement. The staff in general, and he in particular, could not have been kinder or more human. And, it’s an excellent pub, restaurant and hotel!

The staff at the front desk were exceptional; always friendly and kind in answering questions and always smiling as we passed by. The breakfasts were always served promptly and as we ordered by a cheerful staff.

Cockpit cottage is a lovely place to stay with a dog before catching the Eurotunnel by car. The rooms are beautifully appointed and there is a common living area to share with other guests. I had the place to myself. You can make tea and coffee in the kitchenette and delicious food is available in the pub next door. There are many walks in the area to exercise your dog or to get some fresh air after a drive.

Good location- definitely would recommend to have a car but still good walking distance! Very nice, clean room and very cozy. The recommendation book was super helpful and you could tell much care and thought was put into the room!

Beautiful and cozy apartment. We stayed for a week and had everything we needed to feel right at home. The host checked in with us to see whether we needed anything and immediately provided what we were missing (i.e. a drying rack). The neighborhood may not look too nice at first (the rain upon our arrival didn't help), but there are plenty of nice and hip restaurants and bars, as well as small shops in the vicinity. The town center is reasonably close, as is the sea (which you can see from the apartment). We also always found a parking spot nearby.
