Yado Brodiaea was such a lovely stay for us. The guesthouse is very clean, homey, and incredibly cozy! We can immediately feel the warmth the moment we step inside. It really feels like a home away from home. Nobu-san and his wife are the heart of this place. Their service is beyond amazing! They’re genuinely kind, thoughtful, and attentive. Nobu-san didn’t just offer us a ride to the ski resort; he personally drove us to the ski rental shop, waited until we were fully ready, and even picked us up after our entire day of skiing. He also kindly sent us to the train station when we were leaving, which made our departure so smooth and stress-free. That level of care made our trip so much easier and more enjoyable. Another big plus is the nearby onsen at the resort, a perfect way for us to relax after a full day on the slopes. The guesthouse also offers ski pass discounts, which is a huge bonus. ⭐️⭐️⭐️ There are a few nice cafés nearby as well at the visitor center, Nagomi, and the nearby hotel, so you still have good options within reach. It’s a bit of a walk to and from the bus stop and some restaurants, but we didn’t mind at all since we enjoy walking (just something to note if you’re carrying heavy luggage). Overall, Yado Brodiaea offers not just comfort, but heartfelt hospitality. We would absolutely stay here again. 🤩

The Japanese senior couple managing the pension are genuinely the sweetest people we could have dreamed of. Moomin Papa picked us up at the station at arrival and dropped us off (super early in the morning) after checkout. He drove us and the other guests in the morning to the ski resorts nearby and was also willing to pick us up in the afternoon. He was also great at giving dinner recommendations. The pension is simple and welcoming, breakfast is great and all we needed for a full day on the slopes. The onsen is a bit old but we didn’t mind. If you have very long hair it could take a while to dry with the available hairdryer - just to keep in mind. Rooms are nice and warm and the beds are comfortable. WiFi works well. Overall I would say it was a beautiful stay, the hosts and their care in everything they did made the experience 100 times better. Highly recommend!

Set in peaceful landscapes, Kogakuro offers pleasant Japanese-style rooms with plenty of natural light. It features indoor and outdoor hot springs, a library and a cosy lounge with a fireplace. Mieko-san and the rest of the team are super! It was well organized and breakfast + dinner are tasty. The room is big and comfortable with nice mountain view.. Close to the ski lift and there are many restaurants around. We will definitely stay here again in the future.

It's brand new and the location is great, the staff are amazing and the quilts were the best ever. Big thanks the Grace, Oscar, Noah, Charlie, Lucy and the rest of the staff.

Newly renovated property which was very clean and functional. Matt and his wife were amazing hosts and made the stay excellent! Good breakfast and comfortable rooms.

Superb ski-in-out guest house and probably the best value for money you can find in Myoko. I truly felt like I was welcomed into a Japanese home. The owners are incredibly kind and went above and beyond to make my stay special. First, transportation: he picked me up at the train station quite late at night, and even gave a lift to a friend who was staying at a different hotel that didn’t provide shuttle services at that hour. He also took me to the rental shop the next day and dropped me off at the train station Second, he offered to return my skis for me, which was extremely helpful. Third, the dinner was amazing! Truly delicious, home-style Japanese food. The only thing to note is that this is a true Japanese guesthouse, so the bathroom facilities are shared and onsen-style. Also, the heating system runs on kerosene, but honestly, the heater was fantastic after a cold day of skiing. Thank you so much for the wonderful stay!

From the moment we arrived, the hosts went above and beyond. After a long flight from New Zealand, we weren’t fully organised, but they helped us with everything, even offering us dinner and arranging a car a few days later so we could get around easily. They didn’t just host us; they genuinely became friends. The place itself is very traditional, full of authentic Japanese character, and the location is perfect, right next to the chairlift up to Suginohara. Service-wise, they were always checking in and making sure we were well looked after. 10/10 experience.
